The main objective of this study is to explore the public procurement on the Direct Negotiation issues. There are various types of public procurements implemented in the Malaysian government procurement system, however, Direct Negotiation has become the contractors’ opportunities in abusing the system where many projects have failed to be completed as scheduled and others were completed with below standard which has not achieved the expectations.

An experiment was conducted during kharif 2013 and 2014 in North Coastal Zone of Andhra Pradesh at Agricultural Research Station, Ragolu, Srikakulam district to study the genetic parameters like variability, heritability, genetic advance, correlation and path analysis for fibre yield and eleven component traits in a set of 60 genotypes of roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.). Phenotypic as well as genotypic coefficients of variability were high for the important productivity characters like green weight (leafless) plant-1 , dry stick weight plant-1 and fibre yield plant-1 .

Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) is an important commercial crop among bast fibres in India after jute and till date almost nil efforts were made in terms of crop improvement aspects pertaining to seed yield in roselle as it majorly utilized as fibre crop. To acquire first hand information on seed yield and its contributing traits, a set of sixty genotypes of roselle have been used to study the genetic variability, heritability, correlation and path analysis for seed yield and its contributing traits during 2013 and 2014 at three different agro-climatic zones of India.

The authors wanted to find out how recent financial crisis influenced performance of Croatian banks measured with ROA, ROE, NIM and Tobin's Q. Having this aim in mind, we have used many bank-specific, industry-specific or structural variables and macroeconomic variables. The analysis refers to 2007-2015 period. The research is conducted using static panel model on a balanced sample of Croatian banks listed on Zagreb Stock Exchange. The results of the analysis show that crisis dummy variable significantly influences performance but its direction is not uniform.

This study investigates the effects of remittances on attracting foreign direct investment flows to South East Asia. Using a balanced panel data set for seven countries in the 2000-2013 period, we find that remittances have a direct positive impact on attracting FDI. Significantly, the result also shows a negative correlation between remittances and FDI attraction in countries with low per capita income and small market size.

This article analyzes the role of real effective exchange rate as a transmission channel for the impact of economic growth on Vietnam’s exports. Using quarterly data for the period of 1994–2013, the analysis results show that economic growth, real effective exchange rate (REER), and exports tend to fluctuate in the same direction.
