In this study, at least 24 RNA-Seq datasets related to blast disease infection in rice plants have been obtained from databases. Among them, four microarray datasets obtained from blast-infected leaf samples in Indica rice varieties, including GSE122258, GSE126961, GSE78266 and GSE39635 were selected for further in silico analysis.

In this study, we isolated rice endophytic bacteria and selected strains that have antagonistic activity against Dz for application in controlling the foot rot disease. The endophytic strain VY81 isolated from stem of a rice plant with foot rot disease was studied in details since it had prominent antagonistic activity against Dz.

Outbreaks of the Southern rice black-streaked dwarf virus (SRBSDV) have caused significant losses in many rice-growing areas in Vietnam, especially in both North and Central Vietnam in recent years. To detect the virus, traditional reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) methodology and immunoassays are currently employed. RT-PCR is accurate but requires expensive chemicals and instruments, as well as complex procedures that limit its applicability for field tests.

Southern rice black-streaked dwarf virus (SRBSDV) causes severe epidemical disease on rice with the infected area up to millions of hectares in South China and North and Central of Vietnam. So far, there are no effective, cheap, quick, and practicable methods for diagnosing SRBSDV. The conventional RT-PCR technique is the most popular method for detecting SRBSDV with high accuracy.

N6 -methyladenosine (m6 A) is the most common RNA modification in eukaryotes and has been implicated as a novel epigenetic marker that is involved in various biological processes. The pattern and functional dissection of m6 A in the regulation of several major human viral diseases have already been reported.

Balancing the yield, quality and resistance to disease is a daunting challenge in crop breeding due to the negative relationship among these traits. Large-scale genomic landscape analysis of germplasm resources is considered to be an efficient approach to dissect the genetic basis of the complex traits.

Thifluzamide is a thiazole carboxanilide fungicide used to control a wide range of basidiomycete diseases on maize, potatoes, rice, and other crops. Although this fungicide is found in aquatic environments, there is no information about its acute and chronic toxicity on aquatic invertebrates. In the present study, to investigate acute and chronic toxicity of thifluzamide, daphnids were exposed to 1.25, 1.5, 2, and 2.5 mg/L thifluzamide for 48 h and 21 days, respectively.

The focus of this study was to examine the brewing performance quality attributes of wort and beer produced entirely from such combinations at various quantities. The physiochemical characteristics of the different gluten-free beer with and without the addition of ginger in comparison to barley-based beers was also examined. In this study, three different types of gluten-free cereals (oat, rice and corn) were used in the production of pale beer.

A series of novel sulfide derivatives containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole and pyridine were synthesized, characterized, and tested for their antibacterial activity against tobacco bacterial wilt and rice bacterial blight and for insecticidal activity toward diamondback moth. The results showed that some compounds had good insecticidal and bactericidal activity, e.g.

Disease resistance is an important factor that impacts rice production. However, the mechanisms underlying rice disease resistance remain to be elucidated. The genes identified here represent a robust set of genes responsive to the infections of Xoo and Mor, which provides an overview of transcriptional reprogramming during rice defense against Xoo and Mor infections. Our study would be helpful in understanding the mechanisms of rice disease resistance

Sheath blight (SB), caused by Rhizoctonia solani, is a common rice disease worldwide. Currently, rice cultivars with robust resistance to R. solani are still lacking. To provide theoretic basis for molecular breeding of R. solani-resistant rice cultivars, the changes of transcriptome profiles in response to R. solani infection were compared between a moderate resistant cultivar (Yanhui-888, YH) and a susceptible cultivar (Jingang-30, JG).

Rice leaf blight, which is a devastating disease worldwide, is caused by the bacterium Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo). The upregulated by transcription activator-like 1 (UPT) effector box in the promoter region of the rice Xa13 gene plays a key role in Xoo pathogenicity.

Bacterial blight, which is caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo), is a devastating rice disease worldwide. Rice introgression line H471, derived from the recurrent parent Huang-Hua-Zhan (HHZ) and the donor parent PSBRC28, exhibits broad-spectrum resistance to Xoo, including to the highly virulent Xoo strain PXO99A , whereas its parents are susceptible to PXO99A .

Bacterial blight of rice, caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo), is a devastating rice disease in Southeast Asia and West Africa. OsSWEET14, encoding a sugar transporter, is known to be a major susceptible gene of bacterial blight targeted by four different transcription activator-like (TAL) effectors from either Asian or African Xoo strains.

The genus Pyricularia (anamorph)/Magnaporthe (teleomorph) causes blast disease on a broad range of plants including rice, foxtail millet and other species of the family Poaceae. The infected leaves of foxtail millet with typical spindle shaped lesions of light tan in colour, dusty gray appearance with necrotic borders were collected from various regions of Tamil Nadu during 2017 and 2018 and the pathogen was isolated from the samples. The collected isolates were named as TNFxM1 to TNFxM32.
