Although Cryptococcal infection is worldwide distribution, it is more seen in the immunocompromised patients. Cryptococcus neoformans is the most common central neurvous system fungal pathogen in HIV infected patients. In this paper we present an immunocompromised HIV infected case of C. neoformans meningitis with clinical features and imaging characteristics by MR image.

Gravity data inversion or interpretation requires the removal of the gravitational effects of the a priori known geologic and/or morphologic features within the Earth’s system to model and reveal the remaining signals of the unknown anomalous subsurface density distributions. The Bouguer gravity anomalies reduced by the normal gravitational field of the Earth and the gravitational attraction of the topographic masses above the sea level are frequently used in geophysics for this purpose.

The morphotectonic features of the TGFZ and the distribution of the epicenters of earthquakes over magnitude 5.0 show that this fault zone remains active today. In this study, the deformation of the TGFZ is determined with high sensitivity using geodetic measurements. To obtain accurate information about the deformation of the TGFZ, 24 GNSS sites and two continuously operating reference stations were constructed in the southern part of the TGFZ. Between 2018 and 2020, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) measurements were made on this network.

Rationale: ICTs have changed the way information is created and distributed. They have also changed the way libraries select, acquire, organize and deliver information. Library automation has. By the end of the lesson you should be able to: Define library automation Define an automated/Integrated Library System and identify as general features. Be aware of standards. Define an online public access catalog/web catalog Indentify the binifit of Library automation Identify potentail difficult in imple menting library automation ...

Inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) functions as a homodimer. In cell extracts, iNOS molecules partition both in cytosolic and particulate frac-tions, indicating that iNOS exists as soluble and membrane associated forms. In this study, iNOS features were investigated in human intestinal epithelial cells stimulated with cytokines and in duodenum from mice exposed to flagellin. Our experiments indicate that iNOS is mainly associ-ated with the particulate fraction of cell extracts.

We used a combined computer and biochemical approach to characterize human pyridoxine 5¢-phosphate oxidase (PNPO).The human PNPOgene is composed of seven exons and six introns, and spans approximately 8 kb.All exon/intron junctions contain the gt/ag consensus splicing site. The absence of TATA-like sequences, the presence of Sp1-binding sites and more importantly, the presence of CpG islands in the regulatory region of thePNPOgene are characteristic features of housekeeping genes.

The inverted repeats present in a genome play dual roles. They can induce genomic instability and, on the other hand, regulate gene expression. In the present study, we report the distribution and sequence features of recombi-nogenic long inverted repeats (LIRs) that are capable of forming stable stem-loops or palindromes within the human genome.

The formation and structure of proinsulin C-peptide oligomers has been investigated by PAGE, NMR spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering. The results obtained show that C-peptide forms oligomers of different sizes, and that their formation and size distribution is altered by salt and divalent metal ions, which indicates that the aggregation process is medi-ated by electrostatic interactions.

Within the framework of the Walecka model (QHD-I)[1] the renormalized effective Dirac equation and the kinetic equation for fermion are presented. In fact, the fermion propagator in the medium is dramatically different from that in the vacuum. The main feature is the treating of the fermion distribution in non equilibrium, which depends on the interaction rate involving temperature.

Nontypable H. influenzae Nontypable H. influenzae is a common cause of community-acquired bacterial pneumonia in adults. Nontypable H. influenzae pneumonia is especially common among patients with COPD or AIDS. The clinical features of H. influenzae pneumonia are similar to those of other types of bacterial pneumonia (including pneumococcal pneumonia). Patients present with fever, cough, and purulent sputum, usually of several days' duration. Chest radiography reveals alveolar infiltrates in a patchy or lobar distribution.

Pemphigus Foliaceus Pemphigus foliaceus (PF) is distinguished from PV by several features. In PF, acantholytic blisters are located high within the epidermis, usually just beneath the stratum corneum. Hence PF is a more superficial blistering disease than PV. The distribution of lesions in the two disorders is much the same, except that in PF mucous membranes are almost always spared. Patients with PF rarely demonstrate intact blisters but rather exhibit shallow erosions associated with erythema, scale, and crust formation.
