Dividend policies signal

This paper presents the impact of applying the supply chain management (SCM) on the earning field to optimize productivity and decreasing cost which will have a direct impact on the income in the market. By developing out the measurement of future prospect, this research have used the future market value as a new indicator, where the accounting information have a significant effect on an investment decision. This moderated multiple regression has used the dividend policy, where played a critical role in signaling communication.

This study examines the relationship between firm location and dividend. According to agency theory, remotely located firms may use higher dividends to reduce shareholder-manager agency conflicts because of obstacles in observing the managers’ actions. Besides, according to signaling theory, due to information asymmetry, remotely located firms may remain their higher dividend to signal their investors about their prospects.

Dividend policy is one of controversial financial issues. There are various theories about dividend but in this study, the focus is on empirical test of signaling theory. This theory says that the payment of dividends provides information for investors and analysts. The aim of this study is preparing the evidence on dividend signaling about corporate operating characteristics (return, performance and earning). Therefore, linear regression models were fitted. Results showed that significantly positive correlation exists between dividend and return.

Focusing on non-financial listed firms on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange of Vietnam, we examine factors that affects firms’ propensity to pay dividends during 2009-2015. Our results suggest that small firms incline towards dividends as a signal of good performance to investors to raise more equity.
