The effects of output coupler reflectivity, resonator length and pump energy on the Ce:LiCAF laser characteristics were explored. With the broadband laser configuration, the Ce:LiCAF laser achieved a maximum output pulse energy of 3.4 mJ and a laser slope efficiency of about 33%.
