The first principle calculation was employed to investigate the formation energies and structural, electronic, and magnetic properties of intrinsic and Ni-doped sodium bismuth titanate Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3(BNT). The obtained formation energies indicate that Ni atoms prefer to dope into Bi-sites in the lattice of BNT while the calculated band structure shows that the doping leads to the emergence of new midgap energy states in the bandgaps, reducing the bandgap value of doped materials.

Thin films of ZnO and Al-doped ZnO are deposited on glass wafer substrates using a compressed sprayer system with Zn(CH3COO)2.2H2O and AlCl3 as precursors. The influence of Al doping concentration on the crystal phase and morphology of the samples is investigated by XRD and SEM, respectively.

This study aims to contribute to the development of a GaN/Ga2O3 diode that can be utilized in high-power device applications. The simulated device is calibrated against experimental GaN and Ga2O3 diodes, considering the effect of thickness of GaN layer and its doping concentration on the performance of GaN/Ga2O3 diodes. The band structures of devices are investigated to revial which factors that affect the properties of GaN/Ga2O3 diode.

In this study, spinel ferrite nanoparticles CoFe2-xLaxO4 (x = 0, 0.025, and 0.05) were successfully synthesized via a simple co-precipitation method using a 5% NaOH solution as a precipitating agent. The physicochemical properties of the materials, annealed at 850 °C for one hour, were characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and vibrating-sample magnetometry (VSM) at room temperature.

The focus of this study is to investigate its optical and conductive properties under different conditions of doping environments, temperature and polymerization conditions. Optical characterization technique such as UV-Visible spectroscopy is developed to carry out the investigation. The developed nanofibers have been demonstrated to possess optical and conductive properties to be dependent on doping variables. Study of these optical properties could prove very useful in the development of electrochromic devices and gas sensors.

The set of intracavity field equations describing the evolution of intra-cavity pumping, Stokes and anti-Stokes powers of Raman laser is presented. For this purpose, a simplified thermal-hydraulic analysis was performed in order to evaluate the effects on fuel thermal conductivity of adding erbia to uranium oxide. The results obtained allow to conclude that an Er-doped assembly enriched to >5 wt.% in 235U represents an advantageous solution for very long fuel cycles, and it is so suited for very high burnups.
