Dose-escalated radiotherapy is known to improve progression free survival in patients with localized prostate cancer, and recent advances have led to the standardization of ultrahypofractionated stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) delivered in just 5-fractions. This study aims to evaluate the safety, efficacy, and non-inferiority of generalizable 2-fraction SABR compared to the current 5-fraction regimen.

Dosimetric quantities at various distances from a 30 cm diameter polyethylene sphere moderated 241Am-Be source were investigated using the Bonner sphere spectrometer system. This fraction showed the highest antioxidant activity by dose-dependent free radical scavenging action (IC50 69.50 ± 1.55 µg/mL). R. tomentosa leaf extracts, especially the n-hexane fraction, also exhibited strong antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and fungi as well as moderate inhibitory effect on L-DOPA (L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine) oxidase activity of tyrosinase in the melanin biosynthesis pathway.

The kidneys are a principal dose-limiting organ in radiotherapy for upper abdominal cancers. The current understanding of kidney radiation dose response is rudimentary.
