The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effects of a water deficit on the growth of five sugarcane cultivars and analyze the genotypic differences in their levels of drought tolerance.

This study was conducted to evaluate the responses of a local cultivar, Dau tam Thanh Hoa, and three introduced mung bean cultivars (DX14, Mongo Labo, and TV06425) to water stress at the different growth stages.

The objective of the project was to portray memories of the Millennium Drought period through the development of artworks and this was initially undertaken with a photoshoot in January 2014. The project marries fine art methodologies with digital media and contributes to contemporary art practices that re-imagine the ways that weather can impact the environment and inhabitants living on the land. The artworks created are overall a documentation of my stories and memories from North East Victoria.

The signaling properties of the gasotransmitter molecule hydrogen sulfide (H2S), which is endogenously generated in plant cells, are mainly observed during persulfidation, a protein post-translational modification (PTM) that affects redox-sensitive cysteine residues. There is growing experimental evidence that H2S in higher plants may function as a mechanism of response to environmental stress conditions.

Besides, PhyCys are involved in plant reactions to abiotic stresses like drought or darkness and have been used as effective molecules against different pests and pathogens.

Rice is one of the most important crop plants over the world. Our work studied on the physiological responses of rice seedlings (Oryza sativa cv. Dongjin) under drought condition by withholding water. In response to drought treatment, three-week-old rice seedlings exhibited typically morphological responses as leafs rolling and drying at 48 h after exposure to water deficit.
