Increasing evidence suggests that nutritional manipulation of the commensal gut microbiota (GM) may play a key role in maintaining animal health and production in an era of reduced antimicrobial usage. Gastrointestinal helminth infections impose a considerable burden on animal performance, and recent studies suggest that infection may substantially alter the composition and function of the GM.

Electrospinning is now being widely used as a potential tool for tissue engineering to manufacturing tissue grafts, wound dressings, medical fabrics, and drug delivery systems. Regarding biomaterials, polyurethane (PU) and polycaprolactone (PCL) and their combination are prospective candidates for the fabrication of electrospun membranes used in tissue engineering due to their suitable biocompatibility, biodegradability, and mechanical properties. Thus, this study investigates how to manipulate the electrospinning process of PU/PCL to obtain nanofibers with desired features.

Host factors of influenza virus replication are often found in key topological positions within proteinprotein interaction networks. This work explores how protein states can be manipulated through controllability analysis: the determination of the minimum manipulation needed to drive the cell system to any desired state.

Nanotechnology is the rapidly expanding field and nanoparticles are omnipresent. Biological nanoparticles are assembled from molecules or atoms synthesized in a biological system. They include magnetosomes, lipoproteins, viruses, exosomes and ferritins.. A typical instance of a protein cage possessing this native biological function is ferritin. This engineered ferritin, which has the same architecture as natural H-ferritin, is termed magnetoferritin. The iron storage protein ferritin consists of a spherical polypeptide shell (apoferritin) and accommodates various metal ions.

The “tarp” paintings, made between 1986 and 1988, use tarpaulins for supports that previously covered army trucks. They are stretched and then painted or treated in some way by the artist. The random nature of the patterning caused by the wear to the tarpaulin provides the artist with a point of departure. It avoids the conscious or unconscious decision of where to put the holes, plates or antlers and how to manipulate the shape of the underlying support, because the tarpaulin has already been used.

Infertility is a disease of the reproductive system that impairs one of the body's most basic functions: the conception of children. In the United States, infertility affects about 7.3 million women and their partners, or about 12% of the reproductive-aged population. For many of these couples, the answer lies in conventional medical therapy, such as drug treatment or surgery to repair reproductive organs. Since 1978, ART has provided another solution for many would-be parents.

The help() command prints documentation for the requested topic. The sleep dataset is a built-in dataset in R. It comes from William Sealey Gosset’s article under the pseudonym Student (1908). It contains the effects of two drugs, measured as the extra hours of sleep as compared to controls. The vectors x1 and x2 are assigned the values of the extra hours of sleep in drugs 1 and 2, respectively. (a less than sign followed by a minus sign,

It has been said that the control of disease has three goals, which, in increasing order of attraction are palliation, cure, and prevention. For most types of disseminated cancer, medical science has achieved only the first of these objectives, while for some malignancies the side effects of the therapeutic agents employed rival the disease itself in precluding a desirable quality of life.
