The study "Drought monitoring using MODIS data and the Google Earth Engine platform, case study in Dak Lak province" was conducted to monitor drought conditions in Dak Lak province using satellite data and the GEE platform. Various drought indicators, such as the Vegetation Health Index (VHI) and the Normalized Differential Drought Index (NDDI), were obtained from multi-time MODIS satellite data and used to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution of dry conditions in Dak Lak province during the period from 2001 to 2020.

In this study, archaeobotanical data were gathered from the Early, Middle, and Late Bronze Age layers (2400–1200 BC) of the Tatarlı Höyük exposed in the 2011–2012 excavation seasons in the Ceyhan district of Adana Province were evaluated. In 8 trenches relating to these periods, archaeological contexts such as inside areas, hearths, ovens, middens, ceramic pots, etc., as well as contexts with carbonized plant remains were recovered by using dry and wet sieving methods, corresponding in total to 90 soil samples.

The aim of this study was to verify the effects of application of H2O2 on salt tolerance and oil production in basil cv. ‘Gennaro de Menta’ grown in a hydroponic system. Seedlings were subjected to 3 levels of H2O2 (0, 1, and 1000 μM) in a nutrient solution during 2 different exposure periods (24 and 48 h) and 2 levels of NaCl (0 and 80 mM). The plants were harvested at preflowering (at 15 days) and postflowering (at 25 days). At 25 days, the application of 1 μM H2O2 /48 h and its reapplication at preflowering increased leaf dry mass production compared to the other salt treatments.

A total of 107 Cutaneous leishmaniasis patients studied during the period from October 2012- april 2013 in TUZ General Hospital. They were 57% males, their ages ranged from 1-60 years old. Clinically, 58% of patients had multiple lesions, while 42% had single lesion. It was found that 36.5% of patients had dry type while 63.5%had wet type lesion. The highest rate of lesion was on upper limbs 57% while the lowest rate in the ear 1%. Highest rate of cases were recorded during February 32.1% while lowest rate of cases were recorded in April 3,37%.

The present study was conducted in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, to study the production constraints faced by rice farmers and various suggestions given by them to overcome the constraints. This work focused on monitoring CO2 production, microbial growth and residual hydrocarbon concentration during bioremediation experiments performed on laboratory soil microcosms. A natural soil was artificially contaminated with hexadecane and adjusted with inorganic nutrients to stimulate biodegradation. Microbial growth, CO2 production and residual hexadecane were periodically monitored at different soil water contents ranging from 0.15 to 0.25 g water g -1 of dry soil and at different temperatures ranging from 20 to 25 oC.

Longer duration drought and more severe intensity drought mostly occur in the El-Nino year. In addition, by applying the Regional Spectral Model (RSM) for drought prediction, the results show that the RSM model captures well the inter-annual variation of the SPI index at timescale of 12 months, especially during severe water scarcity periods. Underestimated errors in the predicted SPI value can be bias-corrected for more proper determination of droughts from the RSM output. An important issue of drought prediction is warning of drought intensity during either dry or rainy season.

Minced meat fish Lizard fish (Saurida tumbil) was subjected to steam cooking and acid hydrolysis process and dried up to moisture content of 6- 7%. Fish powder obtained from both methods were incorporated in to a cereal mix containing malted and roasted wheat and ragi powder at different percentage (10%, 15%, 20% and 25%) separately. Field experiment was conducted at B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand during summer season for two consecutive years 2015 and 2016 to study the influence of irrigation regimes (I1: 0.8 IW: CPE ratio, I2: 0.6 IW: CPE ratio and I3:0.4 IW: CPE ratio) and row spacing (S1:45 cm and S2:30 cm) on biomass partition of two varieties (V1: Meha and V2: GM-4). Results revealed that periodical leaf weight, stem weight were recorded highest at all 10 days interval with irrigation scheduling at 0.8 IW: CPE (I1) ratio while lowest was recorded at 0.4 IW: CPE (I1) ratio.
