  • This article, we present a thorough and straightforward hydrothermal method towards the production of reduced graphene oxide templated MIL-53(Fe) hybrids RGO@MIL-53(Fe). The structural characteristics of created hybrids were identified by using BET, FESEM, powder X-ray diffraction, and FTIR techniques. Methylene blue (MB) dye (a model water pollutant) was used to evaluate H2O2-assisted photo-catalytic efficiency of RGO@MIL-53(Fe).

  • This study focuses on examining the effect of the π bridge on the properties of the molecule. The structural parameters of the molecular geometry were optimized, the HOMO and LUMO energies were calculated and analyzed in detail. In addition, the absorption wavelength, excitation energy, vibration intensity and electron transfer were calculated through the time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) method.

  • Photocatalytic degradation proficiency was studied for bromothymol blue dye. Phytochemicals-coated Nickel Oxide nanoparticles demonstrated antibacterial properties against bacteria (gram negative strain of E. coli, Pseudomonas spp. and gram positive strain of Bacillus spp.) by showing highest zone of inhibition (19 mm, 22 mm, 15 mm).the antioxidant activity of the synthesized nanoparticles were also examined and the result show that the fabricated nanoparticles exhibited significant radical scavenging activity.

  • In the present work, we report on the dye removal efficiency of Cobalt chromite, CoCr2O4 nanoparticles synthesized via the solvothermal method. The obtained CoCr2O4 nanoparticles demonstrated that the dye removal efficiency of CoCr2O4 nanoparticles could be enhanced by a reduction of size or improved water dispersibility.

  • The synthesis of fluorescent carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and their applications have attracted great attention due to their excellent properties. Especially, the unique visible-light absorption and photo-induced electron transfer properties make CQDs available in photocatalytic degradation of organic dye pollutants in water resources. Herein, we synthesized nondoped CQDs and boron-doped CQDs (B-CQDs) by hydrothermal method and compared their photocatalytic degradation activity of methylene blue (MB) and methyl red (MR) dyes under visible light irradiation.
