This paper aims to explore the application of the DSRS in measuring depression among adolescents. By examining its effectiveness and the consistency of its outcomes across different demographic groups, this study seeks to reinforce the scale’s role in the early detection of depression, thus contributing to better mental health outcomes for adolescents.

Rates of substance use are high among youth involved in the legal system (YILS); however, YILS are less likely to initiate and complete substance use treatment compared to their non legally-involved peers. There are multiple steps involved in connecting youth to needed services, from screening and referral within the juvenile legal system to treatment initiation and completion within the behavioral health system.

The intricate balance between the advantages and risks of low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) impedes the utilization of lung cancer screening (LCS). This study aimed to explore the decisional needs and support for shared decision-making for LCS among health care providers and high-risk groups in China.

The methylation of SHOX2 and RASSF1A shows promise as a potential biomarker for the early screening of lung cancer, offering a solution to remedy the limitations of morphological diagnosis. The aim of this study is to diagnose lung adenocarcinoma by measuring the methylation levels of SHOX2 and RASSF1A, and provide an accurate pathological diagnosis to predict the invasiveness of lung cancer prior to surgery.

Ovarian cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies due to the lack of early symptoms, early diagnosis and limited screening. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the molecular mechanism underlying the occurrence and progression of ovarian cancer and to identify a basic biomarker for the early diagnosis and clinical treatment of ovarian cancer.

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a more aggressive subtype of lung cancer that often results in rapid tumor growth, early metastasis, and acquired therapeutic resistance. Consequently, such phenotypical characteristics of SCLC set limitations on viable procedural options, making it difficult to develop both screenings and effective treatments.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of death among cancers in the United States. Although individuals diagnosed early have a greater than 90 % chance of survival, more than one-third of individuals do not adhere to screening recommendations partly because the standard diagnostics, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy, are expensive and invasive.

Newborn screening aims to identify individual patients who could benefit from early management, treatment, and/or surveillance practices. As sequencing technologies have progressed and we move into the era of precision medicine, genomic sequencing has been introduced to this area with the hopes of detecting variants related to a vastly expanded number of conditions.

Early detection of skin cancer matters because diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan differ for each skin cancer type at their stages. Medical imaging taking the advantages of the non-invasive and non-ionizing polarized light is emerging as a tool for the development of screening and diagnotic tests.

Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancer types among women in developing countries. Women’s behavior in the early detection of the disease is influenced by sociocultural factors. Thus, the present study aimed to determine the effect of an educational intervention based on PEN-3 model on women’s participation in cervical cancer screening.
