The experiments comprising of 9 treatments, viz. Phosphorus at 40, 50 and 60 kg/ha along with 3 levels of Gypsum at 200, 300 and 400 kg/ha. It was laid out in a Randomized Block Design and replicated thrice. Maximum plant dry weight was recorded with Phosphorus 60 kg/ha along with Gypsum 400 kg/ha. Yield attributes namely more number of pods/plant and kernel yield was recorded with Phosphorus at 60 kg/ha along with Gypsum at 300 kg/ha. Net Returns and Benefit Cost Ratio was also recorded in the aforesaid treatment.

The main constraints hampering higher yields and quality of groundnut in Karnataka could be attributed to several production constraints, which may biotic and abiotic stresses include poor and imbalanced nutrition. Therefore, plant nutrition plays a vital role in increasing production and productivity of groundnut. Fertilizer application normally results in increased crop yields up to certain levels. However, the exact time and dose of fertilizer application is also important for successful exploitation of the crop’s potentiality in terms of yield.

In this context, genetic resistance remains the most economical method for the resource poor farmers. So far, the released varieties are found to be susceptible to GBND. Identification of GBND resistant sources in newly developed advanced breeding lines which are agronomically superior would help in recommending and release of these genotypes for GBND endemic locations. Keeping in view the economic importance of the disease in most of the groundnut growing areas and lack of available resistance sources to GBND, present work has been taken up.

Wild boars are present in all continents except Antarctica and greatly affect community structure and ecosystem function. Especially damage to agricultural crops like groundnut, maize, jowar etc by wild boars is enormous and widespread. Earlier the damage by wild boars was high in crop fields nearer to forest areas now they are damaging crops in roadside villages also.

Enhancing crop productivity through agronomic interventions is the mainstay to improve economic and food security situation in India. Revisiting the planting densities using the modern genotypes and revealing its physiological responses and yield benefits is need of the day. The outcome proved to be a viable option to double the farmers income in a short span. Hence, a field experiment was conducted during kharif season, 2018 and 2019.

Women constitute a major and vital work force in agriculture. Nearly 84% of all economically active women in India are engaged in agriculture and allied activities. But the irony is that, most of the agricultural equipment and tools are designed keeping in mind men‟s physiological parameters which are substantially different from women‟s physiological parameters. Even the tools and equipment should not only be tailor made for women while they should be designed according to local conditions and demand.

Groundnut is one of the important oilseed crops of India. Several biotic stresses affect in achieving the real potential yields. Cultivation of biotic stress resistant cultivars is an ecologically and economically sound approach. The occurrence of different biotic stresses varies with location and season thus limiting the wide adoption of varieties resistant to one or the other biotic stresses.
