In the present study, microalgal biomass (Anabeana circinalis and Scenedesmus quadricauda) was used as biofertilizer in cucumber cultivation. The response of cucumber growth characters to microalgal biofertilizer was evaluated. Moreover, rhizosphere microbial diversity and community composition of cucumber was analyzed through 16S rRNA high-throughput Illumina sequencing data. The results showed that microalgal biomass as biofertilizer significantly promoted height, number of leaves and flower buds, and stem diameter of cucumber. The application of a high concentration of S.

There are numerous disadvantages of chemical fertilizer as the soil can take really long to replenish and attain its natural form. Soil need to be fit as it is most important factor for growth of plant. Due to the decrease in soil quality farmers have started using alternate substances such as biofertilzers which provide right amount of nutrients and are eco-friendly.

The bio-fertilizers are alternative sources to meet the nutrient requirement of crops and to bridge the future gaps. Further, knowing the deleterious effect of using only chemical fertilizers on soil health, use of chemical fertilizers supplemented with organic waste and biofertilizers will be environmentally benign.

Trichoderma spp. are tolerant and compatible with fungicides, biofertilizers and other bio pesticides. Integrating fungicide resistant antagonists with suitable fungicide treatment has importance in the frame work of integrated disease management. Incorporation of natural products provides a viable solution to the environmental problems caused by synthetic pesticides. Identification of these compounds and their further testing may be an effective approach to minimize the use of hazardous chemicals
