The filamentous fungus Paecilomyces is currently being developed as a biocontrol agent against plant parasitic nematodes, which often cause black leaf disease in pepper and coffee trees. The aim of this study was to compare the biological characteristics of newly introduced Apis mellifera bees with those previously introduced in 1960. New introduced Apis mellifera bees showed low inbreeding percentage and high honey productivity.
