Nowadays, supercapacitors have been among popular electrochemical energy storage devices in modern life. Plenty of active materials have been investigated and developed to meet the increasing demands for high-performance supercapacitors. In this study, we introduce a facile chemical synthesis route in combination with a subsequent calcination process to fabricate the oxide/hydroxide composites of nickel (Ni) and copper (Cu) as active materials for highperformance asymmetric supercapacitors.

Energy storage by supercapacitors with short charging time and high power density is one of the types of electrochemical storage systems. Perovskite oxides have been significantly investigated as promising materials for energy storage in electrochemical systems. In this study, three perovskites, SrFeO3, SrCoO3 , and SrCo0.5Fe0.5O3, were prepared using the sol-gel method and used as supercapacitor electrode materials.

Nitrogen-doped porous hard carbons are synthesized by hydrothermal carbonization method (HTC) using glucosamine as biosource and treated at different carbonization temperatures in nitrogen environment (500, 750, 1000°C). The electrochemical performances of hard carbons electrode materials for aqueous electrolyte sodium ion batteries are examined to observe the effect of two different voltage ranges (–0.8-0.0) V and (0.0-0.8) V in 1.0 M Na2SO4 aqueous electrolyte.

A novel alkoxy-bridged dithieno (3, 2-B:2’,3’-D) pyrrole (DTP) derivative was synthesized and its corresponding polymer poly(1,2-bis(2-(4H-dithieno[3,2-b:2’,3’-d]pyrrol-4-yl)ethoxy)ethane) (P(DTP-alkoxy-DTP)) was successfully obtained electrochemically. The effects of alkoxy bridge in the structure on the electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical properties of the polymer were also investigated in detail. The results showed that the polymer film exhibits multielectrochromic behavior and a low band gap of 1.82 eV.

The energy storage potential of silver oxide thin film electrodes, deposited via radio frequency reactive magnetron sputtering, was investigated in an ionic electrolyte 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis imide for supercapacitor applications. X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy tools were used to evaluate the structural and oxide phases present in the sputtered silver oxide thin film electrodes.
