In this work, the electrochemical behavior of lead has been investigated with sensitive, fast and simple different pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) method. This preliminary work is an initial step toward the fabricating one type of electrochemical sensors used for sensitive determination of Pb (II) at trace concentration.

Graphene-based electrode materials exhibit a high specific capacitance and long charge-discharge cycling life, but the material cost remains high because of the complexity of the graphene manufacturing process. This study employed an electrochemical exfoliation method to prepare graphene in a simple and ecologically friendly procedure. According to research findings, the disordered multi-layer structure of graphene exhibited great purity, porosity, and graphitization.

This study presents a preliminary investigation on using pristine aluminum particles as anodes for lithium-ion battery. The microstructural characteristics of aluminum particle samples with sizes from 100 nm (0.1 μm) to 70 µm were analyzed by the SEM and XRD methods. The electrochemical behaviors of the aluminum particles were examined by the cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD) measurements.

This study investigated experimental bearing capacity of corroded reinforced concrete beams. Six testing beams were made of concrete having compressive strength of 25 MPa, with the dimensions of 80 x 120 x 1200 mm. They were divided into two groups depending of tension reinforcement ratio.

The present study focuses on the preparation of silver/copper bimetallic hybrid nanoparticles by green method from precursor solutions of silver nitrate & copper nitrate and the locally available citrus fruit (lemon) peel extract which behaves as the stabilizing and reducing agent. Initially, the formation of hybrid nanoparticles was noticed in the reaction mixture by colour change.

In the paper "Experimental and theoretical studies on the composite composed of graphene oxide and polyaniline", we report theoretical and experimental results on graphene oxide – polyaniline composites. Experimental results in this study were obtained by using different techniques: X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and from cyclic voltammetry. The theoretical results were acquired using method of density functional theory (DFT).

In this thesis, I have developed a low-cost, simple and one-step approach to synthesize MnO2/graphene composite with enhanced electrochemical performance. MnO2/graphene composite was prepared via a plasma-assisted electrochemical exfoliation method with an electrolyte solution made of KMnO4 precursor.

In this work, nanoscale bimetallic PtNi, PtCo, PtCu catalysts on carbon Vulcan XC72R as supports were synthesized by reduction method under ultrasonic irradiation. The morphology, structure and specific area of synthesized materials were characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The catalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) of PtM/C was investigated by CV and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) under simulated fuel cell working conditions.

These results indicate that sol-gel processing is a promising method for preparing Ni-rich cathode materials. The sample prepared under the optimal conditions had a well ordered hexagonal layered structure. The charge–discharge tests showed that the initial capacities of the sample were 220.456 and 185.937 mAhg -1 at the discharge rate of 0.1 C between 3.0 and 4.3 V, respectively. The capacity retention ratio was 81.36 % at 1 C after 50 cycles.

The corrosion rate of the CT3 steel in 1 N and 2 N hydrochloric acids was measured by electrochemical polalization method. The measuring values of icorrosion showed that alcoholoamines influence on the inhibition corrosion of the CT3 steel in the hydrochloric acid solution and these values are increased in the order: monoethanolamine < diethanolamine < triethanolamine. In the solution of HCl 1 N and 2 N, the inhibition on the corrosion of steel CT3 of mixture of alcoholamines and potassium iodide is more effective than partial components.

Effect of sodium nitrite on the carbon steel corrosion inhibition in the aerated neutral (pH 7) and alkaline (pH 11) water solutions at temperatures from 30o C to 140o C has been investigated by mass loss, potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy methods. Sodium nitrite was added in concentrations: 200, 350, 500, 750, 1000, 1500 and 2000 ppm by mass.

The conducting polymer poly(5-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone-co-5-hydroxy-3-acetic acid-1,4- naphthoquinone) with electroactive quinone group was investigated by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) in aqueous medium. The evaluations of parameters of equivalent circuit in term of applied potential were considered. The simulated EIS data presented a good agreement with the results obtained by other electrochemical methods.

Inhibition ability of mild steel corrosion of 4 amides (RCONH2 (marked as A4), RCONH– CH2–CH2OH (marked as A5), RCON(CH2–CH2OH)2 (marked as 6b) and RCONH–(CH2)2–NH– COR (marked as 7c) prepared as derivatives from aliphatic acid oxidatively synthesized from nparaffin of Vietnam crude oil, has been examined by electrochemical methods. The corrosion test has been performed in chloride 3% solution at room temperature. The inhibition efficiency has been evaluated through corrosion potential Ecor, corrosion current icor and some other corrosion parameters.

The oxide reduction diffusion (ORD) procedure has recently been applied in synthesizing hydrogen storage materials AB5 for Ni-MH batteries. Starting from metal hydroxides and La oxalat precursor, superfine powder alloys LaNi5, LaNi4.5Co0.5 and LaNi3.87Mn1.13 were obtained by this “soft-chemistry” route. Chemical composition, structure and morphology of alloy phases were examined by different analysis techniques such as AAS, EPMA, X-ray and TEM. The H2-absorption and desorption behavior of crystalline products was determined by Sieverts’ method.
