In which, Cr (III) is much less toxic than that Cr (VI). Health effects of exposure to Cr(VI) reported by various studies are eye, nose, and throat irritation, nasal septum ulcerations and perforations, gastritis, gastrointestinal ulcers, contact dermatitis, ulcers, lung cancer.
