This is a qualitative collective case study that seeks to understand the phenomena of graffiti and its related subcultures. By employing Interpretivist techniques, the research attempts to raise questions about harm minimisation, zero tolerance and graffiti, as well as broaden the debate about these distinct policy approaches for local communities. The research setting encompasses the geographic area of the Knox municipality, situated in outer eastern Melbourne.

This research project investigates the relationship between music composition, particularly electronic pop, and sound design (the editing/mixing of sound for cinema), with its main focus on Multi-channel (Surround Sound) techniques. It proposes new practices that extend music compositional tools into embracing spatial techniques employed by sound design. My research encompasses both the conceptual development (ie spatial techniques in creating narratives) and the practical issues relating to the production and technology needed for such works.

This thesis is comprised of eight chapters. Following this introductory chapter, Chapter 2 provides a summary of literature relating to OHS accountability and examines issues relating to OHS performance management. Chapter 3 presents a review of stakeholder, legitimacy and institutional theory literature. The research method employed is discussed and justified in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 presents the results of the stakeholder survey and in doing so describes stakeholder demand for OHS disclosure.

The essential role of the disciplinary sanctions is similar to that of the criminal sanctions and consists in the future prevention of facts that could affect the labor relations, which result from the individual employment contract concluded between the employer and the employee according to the law.

Butyrylcholinesterase is a serine esterase, closely related to acetylcholinesterase. Both enzymes employ a catalytic triad mechanism for catalysis, similar to that used by serine pro-teases such as a-chymotrypsin. Enzymes of this type are generally considered to be inactive at pH values below 5, because the histidine member of the catalytic triad becomes protonated. We have found that butyrylcholinesterase retains activity at pH £ 5, under conditions of excess substrate activation.

A search has been initiated for lead inhibitors of the non-structural protein 3 (NS3)-associated NTPase/helicase activities of hepatitis C virus, the related West Nile virus, Japanese encephalitis virus and the human mitochondrial Suv3 enzyme. Random screening of a broad range of unre-lated low-molecular mass compounds, employing both RNA and DNA substrates, revealed that 4,5,6,7-tetra-bromobenzotriazole (TBBT) hitherto known as a potent highly selective inhibitor of protein kinase 2,is a good inhibitor of the helicase, but not NTPase, activity of hepa-titis C virus NTPase/helicase. ...

THE IMPACT OF PRIVATIZATION AND ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING ON EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS: THE TUNISIAN This may make it easier for a high- x jm school to attract good teachers in a highchoice market than in one with less choice, where teachers are likely to be assigned to schools by bureaucratic rules rather than by the market. Any such effect would imply a positive effect of choice on the reduced-form peer effectγ in equations (1) and (4) which will appear as a positive contribution to 1 ϕ .52

The ideal investment decision making technique is Net Present Value. N P V measures the equivalent present wealth contributed by the investment. NPV is given in NPV -- relates directly to the firm’s goal of wealth maximization -- employs the time value of money -- can be used in all types of investments -- can be adjusted to incorporate risk.
