-
Tumor microenviroment is characteristic of inflammation, ischemia and starvation of nutrient. TNF-α, which is an extraordinarily pleiotropic cytokine, could be an endogenous tumor promoter in some tumor types.

Breast cancer (BC) is a malignant tumor that occurs in the epithelial tissue of the breast gland. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) small nucleolar RNA host gene 3 (SNHG3) has been found to promote BC cell proliferation and invasion by regulating the microRNA (miR)-101/zinc-finger enhancer binding axis in BC.

Lymphatic metastasis, facilitated by lymphangiogenesis is a common occurrence in breast cancer, the molecular mechanisms remaining incompletely understood. We had earlier shown that cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 expression by human or murine breast cancer cells promoted lymphangiogenesis and lymphatic metastasis by upregulating VEGF-C/D production by tumor cells or tumor-associated macrophages primarily due to activation of the prostaglandin receptor EP4 by endogenous PGE2.

In humans, thromboxane (TX) A2 signals through two receptor isoforms, thromboxane receptor (TP)aand TPb, which are transcriptionally regula-ted by distinct promoters, Prm1 and Prm3, respectively, within the single TP gene. The aim of the current study was to investigate the ability of the endogenous peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)c ligand 15-deoxy-D 12,14 -prostaglandin J2 (15d-PGJ2) to regulate expression of the human TP gene and to ascertain its potential effects on the individual TPa and TPbisoforms....
