Energy from the oceans

This paper analyzes a monthly global gridded sea-surface wind dataset from Jan 1991 to Dec 2020, sourced from the International Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Data Set (ICOADS). The goal is construct schematic maps depicting the monthly average distributions of sea-surface wind speeds and directions in the East Vietnam Sea.

A Lagrangian rapid-response model for simulating the transport of radionuclides in the Arabian (or Persian) Gulf is described. The model is based on a tide model including five constituents, which was solved in advance, and baroclinic circulation was obtained from HYCOM operational ocean model.

The mangrove plant Kandelia candel is a type of woody halophyte that grows in tropical and subtropical ocean intertidal zones and exhibits a high salt tolerance. In this study, 61,970 unigenes were obtained from the roots of 60-day-old K. candel seedlings treated with 0 (control), 200, 400, and 600 mM NaCl for 3 days with an N50 of 1510 bp. Moreover, 454, 311, and 2663 genes were differentially expressed under 200, 400, and 600 mM NaCl treatments, respectively.

Renewable Energy is energy generated from natural resources - such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat - which are naturally replenished.
