The current paper addresses this gap with the help of a large-scale cross-country analysis (N = 2003) that examines the social acceptance of wind energy projects in Switzerland, Estonia, and Ukraine through choice experiments. Our analysis shows some exploratory evidence for country-specific differences: A tradition of direct democratic decision-making might lead to placing more emphasis on procedural justice, and we also identify some early evidence for differences between individualist and collectivist countries in terms of preferences for distributional justice

We have learned that the way to know a person fully, is to see that person aesthetically: as trying to put opposites together. The opposites of the world are in us and relate us to everyone and everything else. We have in us the Energy and Repose of reality—a reality with volcanoes and quiet, moonlit lakes. We are Center and Circumference like the solar system, pulled toward the sun yet circling in space. We have Concentration and Expansion like an egg with a chick in it, about to hatch out. We are a study in Sameness and Difference like a snowflake, a six-pointed star like all...

That being said, when a specific facility is talked about, for clarity, we refer to it as a proper name and, if necessary, include its function (e.g., Ames 12-Foot Pressure Wind Tunnel). As well, the term “test facilities” and “facilities” can be substituted to mean “WT/PT facilities.” Of course, NASA owns and operates other types of test facilities outside of WT/PT facilities, but our conclusions and recommendations do not apply to them. iii .
