  • The research design was conducted using quantitative approaches. The major findings showed that the students’ proficiency in English did not satisfy the expectations of the stakeholders. Therefore, some practical solutions are given to improve the students’ level of use of English for tourism, including designing English tourism curriculum; building an e-learning system supports students’ self-studying; students’ opportunities to communicate in English, and the assessment processes; strengthen cooperation, learning and exchange with international enterprises.

  • This paper evaluates sustainable urban bus service quality based on passenger perception and expectation in local tourism destinations in order to attain a comprehension of tourists’ attitudes towards local public transport. The study focuses on the combination of route 101 and 102 by Rapid Penang bus to investigate passenger satisfaction because the bus is the main public transport used by most tourist who use both routes. Data collection by questionnaire survey from 201 valid questionnaires was analysed using sustainable assessment model for both routes.

  • In theory, the integration of Kano Model and SERVQUAL into Quality Function Deployment is to remove the assumption of linear and to offer innovative input. Kano Model characterizes attributes for product or services based on the level of customer satisfaction towards the attributes.   • This research aims to map the internal and external condition of SMEs in supply chain performance of tourism sector and determines the effective strategy to increase the human resource performance for each region. This research was conducted in East Java that has the most SMEs in Indonesia. Sampling was done in two stages, namely (1) selecting districts and (2) selecting MSMEs. The results of the sampling process were taken by 20 MSMEs in each district selected as a sample. SWOT was used as an analysis tool in this study.
