Single-cell analysis is a powerful tool for dissecting the cellular composition within a tissue or organ. However, it remains difficult to detect rare and common cell types at the same time. Here, we present a new computational method, GiniClust2, to overcome this challenge.

Therefore, multi view text clustering presents a useful solution for trends detection by integrating various representations called ‘views’ to provide a complementary description of the same content. In this context, we propose a new ensemble method for multi-view text clustering that exploits different representations of text in order to produce more accurate and high quality clustering. Extensive experiments on real-world text datasets were conducted to demonstrate its superiority by comparing with the existing methods.

Given a set of features, researchers are often interested in partitioning objects into homogeneous clusters. In health research, cancer research in particular, high-throughput data is collected with the aim of segmenting patients into sub-populations to aid in disease diagnosis, prognosis or response to therapy.

This paper presents vapor-liquid equilibria of pure fluid fluorine which were predicted by Gibbs Ensemble Monte Carlo (GEMC) simulation techniques using our two new 5-site intermolecular pair potentials ab initio. The ab initio pair potentials were established from coupled-cluster calculations, using the CCSD(T) level of theory and Dunning's correlation consistent basis sets aug-cc-pVmZ (m =2, 3) [8]. The coexistence phase diagram, and the resulting critical properties, thermodynamic properties, vapor pressures and orthobaric densities are found to correspond well with the experimental data.

In recent years, the development and diagnosis of secondary cancer have become the primary concern of cancer survivors. A number of studies have been developing strategies to extract knowledge from the clinical data, aiming to identify important risk factors that can be used to prevent the recurrence of diseases.

In this work, we develop CASVM and CANN algorithms for semi-supervised classification problem. The algorithms are based on a combination of ensemble clustering and kernel methods. Probabilistic model of classification with use of cluster ensemble is proposed. Within the model, error probability of CANN is studied. Assumptions that make probability of error converge to zero are formulated. The proposed algorithms are experimentally tested on a hyperspectral image. It is shown that CASVM and CANN are more noise resistant than standard SVM and kNN.

In this paper, we propose a new ensemble document clustering method. The novelty of our method is the use of Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) in the generation phase and a weighted hypergraph in the integration phase. In our experiment, we compared our method with some clustering methods. Our method achieved the best results.

Coreferencing entities across documents in a large corpus enables advanced document understanding tasks such as question answering. This paper presents a novel cross document coreference approach that leverages the profiles of entities which are constructed by using information extraction tools and reconciled by using a within-document coreference module. We propose to match the profiles by using a learned ensemble distance function comprised of a suite of similarity specialists.

We combine multiple word representations based on semantic clusters extracted from the (Brown et al., 1992) algorithm and syntactic clusters obtained from the Berkeley parser (Petrov et al., 2006) in order to improve discriminative dependency parsing in the MSTParser framework (McDonald et al., 2005).
