Environmental study

This paper studies setting up the principles of urban park planning in Vietnam, including eight general principles: sustainability and environmental principles; the principle of improving the quality of life; the principle of preserving cultural identity, spatial connection principle, park diversity principle, the principle of adaptation; safety principles, principles of education and three principles of spatial arrangement. These principles will be one of the bases for constructing and developing parks in Vietnam.

Results regarding whether it is essential to incorporate genetic variants into risk prediction models for esophageal cancer (EC) are inconsistent due to the different genetic backgrounds of the populations studied. This study aimed to investigate the levels of contamination of potentially toxic trace elements in the soil of Dong Nai Province, Vietnam. To achieve this, the Instrument Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) method was employed to measure the concentrations of five potentially toxic trace elements, including manganese (Mn), arsenic (As), chromium (Cr), antimony (Sb), and zinc (Zn), across 30 soil samples collected from the region.

This study investigates the importance of firm-level green reputation on client-side financial watchdogs’ reactions characterized by audit fees and credit ratings. Using a comprehensive sample of US-listed firms over 2007-2020, we find that firms with high environmental reputation risk (ERR) are positively associated with higher audit fees, and they also tend to receive lower credit ratings.

The Insecta are the most diverse group of animals on the planet. The diversity of Plecoptera aquatic insect order is used as an environmental and ecological indicator. The study of endemic species is important for confirming the national biodiversity and contributing to the determination of national sovereignty. Despite Vietnam being a biodiversity hotspot, the number of known insect species remains limited.

Governments and countries are making efforts to overcome the consequences of climate change, especially reducing greenhouse emissions. The concept of “carbon market” was also born from there as one of the economic solutions to solve environmental problems. By studying the experiences of some countries in the Emissions Trading Mechanism, this article offers some suggestions for Vietnam to improve the legal framework as well as organize and operate the carbon market effectively.

The study makes use of exploratory and descriptive research design and is based on secondary sources of data collection. The dimensions of sustainable banking have been identified as environmental, social and governance (ESG). The research further highlights that sustainability issues focused by banks primarily involve “environmental” and “social” considerations, however, the “governance” aspect has not yet been considered by many. Moreover, the study reveals that there are no guidelines specified by the Bank of Lao PDR (BOL) for sustainable banking practices in Lao to date.

Firstly, the present study expands understanding by examining the dynamic co-movements between cryptocurrencies and green financial instruments within the context of sustainable finance. Prior studies have concentrated on traditional cryptocurrencies, which is consistent with increased environmental and financial concerns in the presence of particular and ambiguous shocks—that is, the pandemic and the Ukraine invasion.

The study assesses the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) and institutional quality on the environment, while also determining the role of institutional quality in the environmental effects of FDI in developing Asian countries. By analyzing panel data from 10 developing Asian economies for the period 1996-2021 using the System Generalized Method of Moments, the research finds evidence confirming the negative impact of FDI on environmental quality in these countries.

In this study, a TiO2-CeO2 heterostructure was synthesized using a cost-effective hydrothermal technique, suitable for continuous industrial-scale production and environmental remediation applications. The photocatalytic activity of the TiO2-CeO2 heterostructure was examined with MB dye under visible light irradiation. Significantly enhanced photocatalytic activity was observed compared to pure TiO2 nanoparticles.
