Eosinophilic lung disease

Immunoglobulin G4 related-disease (IgG4-RD) is a multisystemic immune-mediated fibroinflammatory disease, with a strong predilection for salivary and lacrimal glands, pancreas, biliary tree, lungs, kidneys, aorta, and retroperitoneum. In the case of pancreatic involvement, it manifests as autoimmune pancreatitis.

Contagious pustular dermatitis (CPD) is an acute, highly contagious, zoonotic, debilitating and economically important viral non-systematic eruptive skin disease of small ruminants. In this report, occurrence of atypical caprine contagious pustular dermatitis associated with pneumonia in a goat flock is described. An outbreak of pox like disease was noticed in four out of 18 non-descript goats during June 2018, in Erode district of Tamil Nadu. Affected animals showed multiple, discrete, edematous nodular lesions and crust formation throughout its body surface with respiratory symptoms.

Examples of duct dependent circulations include critical coarctation of the aorta (duct dependent systemic circulation) or pulmonary atresia (duct dependent pulmonary circulation). In critical coarctation there is extreme narrowing of the aorta just where the arterial duct joins the aorta, and blood supply to the lower half of the body is only possible if it passes from the pulmonary artery to the descending aorta via the duct. In pulmonary atresia, the only blood supply to the lungs is that which passes from the aorta to the pulmonary artery via the duct.

Eosinophilia Eosinophilia is the presence of 500 eosinophils per µL of blood and is common in many settings besides parasite infection. Significant tissue eosinophilia can occur without an elevated blood count.
