Epiphytic flora

Six newly recorded taxa, Chlamydomonas pertusa Chodat, Coenochloris pyrenoidosa Korshikov, Coenocystis tapasteana Komárek, Katagnymene accurata Geitler, Phormidium stagninum Anagnostidis, and Scytonema coactile Montagne ex Bornet & Flahault, were described from epipelic, epilithic, and epiphytic materials of the 17 high mountain lakes and a pond in Artabel Lakes Nature Park. The morphology of all species was examined by light microscopy. In this paper, the morphology, ecology, and distribution of these species are discussed. Photos of the species are also provided.

A list of 75 lichen taxa is reported from Gürgendagi Mountain located to the north of Kazdagi (Ida Mountain), in Çanakkale province. Among the identified taxa, 41 taxa are epiphytic, 26 saxicolous and 8 terricolous. All of the taxa are new records for the area. Nineteen taxa are new for the province.

As a result of the evaluation of 29 relevés of different sizes taken from trunks using the Braun-Blanquet method, Leptodonto smithii-Leucodontetum sciuroidis and Cryphaeetum arborae (with both subassociation typicum and subassociation orthotrichetosum diaphani) belonging to the Fabronion pusillae alliance were recorded for the first time from Turkey. The life forms and life strategies of the syntaxa were analyzed.
