The aim of the study was to assess changes in the vaginal bacteria load, at different times following treatment with intravaginal Progesterone implants. Thirty postpartum (>70 days) anestrus crossbred cows were treated with three standard hormonal protocols (CIDR Gr. II, TRIU-B Gr. III and P4 Sponge Gr. IV protocols, n=10 each), and the findings were compared with a group of untreated (n=10) anestrus cows which were inserted with blank sponge (containing no P4).

The effectiveness of progesterone sponges to treat the anestrus animals and to synchronisation was reported in several previous study using different breeds of cattle and buffalo. The present study was carried out to assess estrus induction potential and conception rate in indigenous Kangayam cows inserted with progesterone impregnated intravaginal sponge.

The present study was conducted to compare the efficacy of hormonal and nutritional approaches to induce fertile estrus in canine. Twenty female dogs of different breeds presented to university clinics, GADVASU, Ludhiana were subjected to hormonal (Group 1, n=10) and nutritional (Group 2; n=10) treatments. The present study was conducted to compare the conception rates following breeding at foal heat versus induced heat in postpartum indigenous mares. Twenty mares with history of normal foaling and expulsion of placenta and occurrence of foal heat between 6-10 days after foaling were included in the study. These mares were subjected to transrectal ultrasonography during foal heat to record uterine oedema, accumulation of fluid and endometrial thickness.

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG) levels on estrus response, onset and duration of estrus, lambing rate and litter size in Assaf ewes. A total of 80Assaf ewes were used in the experiment which was conducted during April, 2016, a month that is considered as non-breeding period in Palestine. Haematological profiles play a key role in diagnosis of array of reproductive disorders. Postpartum lactating anestrous Ongole cows were treated with estrus and ovulation hormonal protocols Heatsynch (Group A) and G6G (Group B) and haematological analysis was done following estrus induction. The mean of haemoglobin level was 9.94±0.47, 10.51±0.27 and 10.23±0.68, 10.93±0.45 g/dl on day of selection (0 day), on day of induced estrus in Heatsynch and G6G groups, respectively. The mean PCV was 28.97±1.04, 33.92±1.31 and 30.24±1.74, 34.49±0.
