Evidence from Vietnam and China

Chinese texts circulated widely in the Sinographic sphere, so much so that one can speak of an ‘East Asian book-road’. Books written in literary Chinese travelled mostly, but not exclusively, in one direction, from China to the neighbouring states. Vietnam was one of those states and in this article I examine how Vietnam fits into the East Asian book-road by considering the evidence for the transmission of Chinese texts to premodern Vietnam.

The purpose of this research was to contribute to the development of animosity theory by exploring sources of consumer animosity that can stimulate feelings of animosity toward a target country. Also, investigate the relationships among consumer animosity, consumer ethnocentrism, cultural acceptability, product judgment, reluctance to buy foreign product and product ownership in a developing context – Viet Nam.

The China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF), China Association of Social Work Education (CASEW), and Hong Kong Keswick Foundation (HKKF) conducted the Hope School Project which raised funds to help the students in the disaster area return to school and provided professional school social work services after the Sichuan earthquake in 2008. This project lasted for three years and gained substantial procedural and empirical evidence on the benefits of disaster relief, post-disaster reconstruction, and school social work services.

This model is fitted to time series data both to better understand the data and to forecast future points in the series. Hereby, the methodology is selected by Vietnam's best-fit model ARIMA (2,3,1) and China's best-fit model ARIMA (2,3,5).

The paper then examines the changes in Vietnam’s trade with China in the context of China’s economic slowdown. The results show robust evidence that the growth rates of Vietnam’s two-way trade with China have witnessed a downward trend. Both Vietnam’s import and export growth rates reduced over the two periods but imports of Vietnam from China have more seriously suffered.

These data show !hat the region supported a Fagaceae-Coniferous, especially Quercus, Pinus và Castanopsis, simi1ar to contemporary vegetation described in Vietnam and southeast China. Con Voi range in Vietnam was a southeastward continuity of the Red River Ailaoshan tertiary shear zone, a boundary between Indochina and south China blocks during the southeastward extrusion of Indochina block. It composed of high grade metamorphic and strongly deformed rocks with various protoliths. The foliation and schistosity folded to produce a large antiform structure during the late phase of ductile deformation and exhumation.
