Ankyloglossia is commonly reported as one of the major causes of breastfeeding difficulty. There is a lack of research on infant growth and latching performance with clinical measures. In the cases reported in this paper, the infants overcame the initial difficulties in breastfeeding and maintained their normal growth course in the first 6 months of life.

To investigate the prevalence and patterns of breastfeeding at discharge and in the first six months of life in a high-risk fetal, neonatal and child referral center. At-risk newborns did not exclusively breastfeed to the same extent as healthy newborns at hospital discharge.

There is documented evidence on exclusive breastfeeding from Ethiopia, but not specifically from Samara-Logia city administration.
