Study evaluates the overall situation of Vietnam's fisheries exports and using Global Simulation Analysis of Industry-Level Trade Policy: the GSIM model to predict the impact of CPTPP agreement on fisheries export to CPTPP members. The forecast results show that the CPTPP has positive effects on Vietnam's fisheries export. One of those is that the Vietnamese producers/exporters benefit from having the opportunity to access to a promising market like Mexico and be privileged to continue increasing export earnings to potential Japanese markets after CPTPP takes effect.

The study employs the Box-Jenkins Methodology to forecast South African gold sales. For a resource economy like South Africa where metals and minerals account for a high proportion of GDP and export earnings, the decline in gold sales is very disturbing. Box-Jenkins time series technique was used to perform time series analysis of monthly gold sales for the period January 2000 to June 2013 with the following steps: model identification, model estimation, diagnostic checking and forecasting. Rice is the most important crop of Vietnam with a harvested area of 7,835 ha, production of 45.2 million tons of paddies, and export volume of 6,997 thousand tons of milled rice for an export value of USD 2,852 million in 2015. Most of the remittance-receiving countries witnessed a significant macro-economic impact of remittances, not only in terms of hel ping increase foreign currency earnings, but also by virtue of representing a sizeable share of a country’s GDP, Moreover, these resources help expand markets through spending and investment. The rationale for using oil price movements as a factor affecting stock valuations is that, in theory, the value of stock equals the discounted sum of expected future cash flows. These cash flows are affected by macroeconomic events that can be influenced by oil shocks. Indeed, oil exports affect the main economic variables in GCC countries: earnings, government budget revenues and expenditures and aggregate demand. So oil price increases should positively affect corporate output and earnings, and then stock returns in these countries.

The GCC was established in 1981 and it includes six countries, namely, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). GCC countries share several common patterns. Together, they produce about 20% of all world oil, control 36% of world oil exports and possess 47% of proven reserves. Oil exports largely determine earnings, government budget revenues and expenditures and aggregate demand. Table 1 shows some key financial indicators for the GCC economies. The contributions of oil to GDP range from 22% in Bahrain to 44% in Saudi Arabia.

The Mekong River is one of the few great, largely unregulated rivers of the world. Its Delta is both agriculturally and aquatically highly productive and a major contributor to the region’s food production and export earnings. Water and land issues of the Delta must be considered as integral with those of the Mekong Basin as a whole.
