Exported wood products

The study of the experience of some countries such as China, Malaysia and Indonesia is necessary to help Vietnam boost export turnover of this product to the EU. In addition, these countries have good market policies, product development policies, creating longterm supply assurance. This is a valuable experience for Vietnam to look forward to sustainable development for the export of wood and wood products in Vietnam in the coming time.

This study covers the time– period from 2015 to 2020. Trade war is considered as one of the remarkable points for the global economic growth in general and Vietnam in particular. Some analysts said that Vietnam is one of the countries that are supposed to become "winners" when the war between the world's two largest economies takes place if they can make good use of their exports goods.

The paper aims to identify the structure of the export market for Acacia wooden furniture products, simultaneously determine the fundamentals of forming the market structure and propose marketing solutions for market development. The inequality index (GINI) and the concentration ratio (CR) were used to analyze the market structure.

The study examines actors engaged in timber production and timber products manufacturing and trade in four value chains: imported rosewood used in wood villages; domestic acacia plantation timber; domestic rubberwood plantation timber; and domestic scattered trees. All these value chains supply domestic and export markets. The study also seeks to understand gender issues in the value chains, and identify particular legal or regulatory effects on women and men.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the competitiveness of export wood products in Binh Dinh province through the DRC/ SER index. Four pieces of indoor furniture and four pieces of outdoor furniture were selected for the study. The DRC/ SER indices of the products are in the range of 0.76–0.84. Meanwhile, indoor furniture is more competitive in the international market.

Since demands for these products are increasing in China, these markets provide New Zealand's exporters with a very good opportunity.
