Extension participation

The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of English podcasts in improving listening skills for non-English major students and measure their satisfaction with podcasts as a listening resource. Twenty-eight participants, including nine males and nineteen females, were randomly assigned to either a control group or an experimental group.

The present study was undertaken to analyze the extension contacts and participation in extension activities between the farmers using drip irrigation system and conventional irrigation system in kinnow cultivation of Punjab by collecting data from 200 farmers (100 each) in four districts of Punjab which were selected purposively i.e. Bathinda, Fazilka, Hoshiarpur and Sri Muktsar Sahib/ Faridkot.

The study was conducted in the state of Uttarakhand, with two purposively selected KVKs Dhakrani representing the plains region of Garhwal division and Bageshwarre presenting the hill region of Kumaon division. A simple random sampling technique was used to select 160 respondents from eight villages from both KVK. Finding of the study revealed that, majority of the beneficiaries had middle age group, educated up to higher secondary, medium family size, marginal land holding, medium media ownership, extension contact, information seeking behaviour and social participation.

The structurally homologous mononuclear iron and man-ganese superoxide dismutases (FeSOD and MnSOD, respectively) containa highly conservedglutamine residue in the active site which projects toward the active-site metal centre and participates in an extensive hydrogen bonding network. The aromatic hydrocarbon receptor (AhR)-dependent pathway involved in 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD)-induced immunotoxicity has been studied extensively, but the AhR-independent molecular mechan-ism has not. The University of Queensland, together with its Vietnamese partner institutions, propose a CARD project to enhance the teaching and research capacity of staff in the three institutions. This will be achieved through a project targeting agroforestry systems for livestock feeding in the northern provinces of Vietnam.
