The current study aimed at investigating the effects of collaborative learning activities on students’ extensive reading skills and EFL students’ perceptions towards the use of collaborative learning in students’ extensive reading learning. To obtain research objectives, the researcher adopted an eight-week action research project with the quantitative method. 25 Grade 8 students from a lower secondary school were selected as the research participants.

The action research was conducted to test the ideas that using online newspapers written in English enhances students reading skills and cultivates their positive attitude towards extensive reading (ER). The participants were 42 second-year students at School of Foreign Languages – Thai Nguyen University (SFL-TNU). Reading materials were selected from a local online newspaper in English.

The control group, in the meantime, was given listening exercises as homework. A pre-test and post-test was used to measure the participants’ improvement in listening comprehension. The results showed that the treatment group significantly outperformed their control group counterparts. This suggests that extensive listening facilitates EFL learners’ listening comprehension.

The present study was undertaken to evaluate the yield gap through CFLDs on blackgram by the active participation of farmers with the objective to harness maximum potential of crops by demonstrating the improved technologies. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hamirpur (H.P.) conducted 88 demonstrations on blackgram (Vigna mungo L., Fabaceae) in 16.7 ha area during kharif 2016 and 2017 in different villages of district Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. Prevailing farmers‟ practices were treated as control for comparison with recommended practices.

And high level of farming experience. Majority of the respondents had low family annual income. Majority of the respondents had medium extension participation, scientific orientation and innovativeness with medium risk orientation towards Sardar Smruti Kendra.

The research study was conducted during the year 2015 to study relationship between the personal, socio-economic and psychological characteristics and livelihood security of the tribal farmers in high altitude tribal zone of Karnataka state. The study revealed that education, land holding, annual income, extension contact, mass media exposure, social participation, economic orientation, risk orientation and level of aspiration had shown positively significant relationship and fatalism had shown negatively significant relationship with livelihood security of tribal farmers.

The study was conducted in Ratnagiri district. In all, 112 PRI woman members were selected from four Panchayat Samities, five Grampanchayats from each selected Panchayat Samiti and Ratnagiri Zilha Parishad on the basis of maximum number of woman members. The personal and socio-economic characteristics namely age, education, land holding, annual income, major occupation, official position, tenure of work, cosmopoliteness, extension contact, organizational participation, interest in public work and political awareness of the respondents were considered as the independent variables.

The present study was conducted to investigate the profile characteristics of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) beneficiaries of district Jabalpur (M.P.). One hundred and twenty beneficiaries from Majholi and Jabalpur blocks were selected on the basis of availability of highest beneficiaries of the PMKSY scheme. The study revealed that higher percentage of PMKSY beneficiaries were middle aged, educated up to high school, had medium size of land holding.
