In this paper, we proposed an Agent-Based Model that simulates the interactions and life activities of tigers, leopards, and wild boars within a 400 km2 area, approximately the area of standard conservation.

Cinnamomum parthenoxylon (Jack) Meisn is one of the valuable wood trees indigenous to the lowland tropical forests of Vietnam, which is in danger of extinction due to habitat fragmentation and overexploitation. Furthermore, the genetic diversity of this species has not been investigated to date. This study evaluated the genetic diversity in five natural populations from 101 individuals representing the C. parthenoxylon distribution range in natural reserves in North Vietnam using nine SSR markers.

Astragalus devesae Talavera, A. González & G. López (Fabaceae) is a threatened Hispanic endemic species whose distribution is restricted to the center of Spain (the province of Ávila). It is classified as “Critically Endangered” in the 2010 List of Threatened Spanish Vascular Flora and as “Endangered” in the “Decree 63/2007” of Castile and Leon (administrative region in which Ávila is included). Efforts towards species conservation are focused on declining populations with less emphasis on dominant species. This has resulted to a once dominant species in forest ecosystem becoming endangered or at the verge of extinction.
