This paper proposed a robust regression model for simple decision making in smart indoor farms. In our proposal, there are several steps to ensure the time-series data set which collected from sensor nodes in smart indoor farms are expanded to its features into new data set. The step tries to maximize features, then high corelated features with outcome in new data set will be filtered with strong threshold value.

The present study was conducted with the specific objective “To study the participation and decision making pattern of women in farm related activities in rural areas of Telangana”. For this purpose, a total of 150 respondents were selected randomly from 12 villages of Karimnagar, Jagityal and Mancherial districts of Telangana and were interviewed with the help of structured interview schedule.

It is an approach that puts together set of principles and techniques meant to systematically enhance farmers’ abilities to investigate, analyze, innovate and learn improved farming practices. The FFS provide an opportunity for farmers to learn together and test and adapt practices, using practical, hands-on methods of discovery learning that emphasize observation, discussion, analysis and collective decision making.

Farmers make the decision to quit farming altogether only after comparing the utility they derive from farming as compared to taking up a full-time non-farm employment. Thus, an attitude scale was developed to measure the perspective of practicing farmers towards agriculture as a livelihood in rural areas. Likert‟s scale of summated rating technique was followed for constructing the scale. A total of 44 statements were selected after obtaining the relevancy scores and administered to 30 farmers whose principal source of income is agriculture from non-sampled areas in Assam, India.

The present study was conducted during the year 2017-18 in Senapati District, Manipur. Out of total sixteen districts in the state, Senapati District was selected as it comprised of ST communities. One sub-division i.e. Mao-Maram was selected out of seven sub-division keeping in view of highest tribal population and population density. A multistage sampling procedure was followed. A sample of tribal farmers consisting 125 respondents was selected from five villages of the sub-division based on simple random sampling.

For the well-being or flourishing of farm women, the impact were assessed in the terms of social determinants viz., income well-being, self-esteem well-being, confidence well-being, capacity well-being, decision making, nutrition and health well-being and social empowerment etc. The study was carried out to Impact assessment of social determinants on psychological wellbeing of women. The results showed that the project under reference succeeded in increasing income, expenditure and saving of the respondents. It also provided additional and regular income to its beneficiaries.

Farm diversification is advocated for reaping the gains of complementary relationship or equating substitution and price ratio for completing products. Farm diversification may also be used as a risk precaution and stabilize farm income. Diversification of crop farming along with livestock enterprises can play more significant role in increasing income and employment particularly on marginal and landless labourers and in meeting nutritional requirements.

The management of dairy farming has been historically based on experience and the skills the farm operator has in planning and decisions made. In cases where the farm has large herds, a farming system must be in place, thereby bring an evolution in dairy management, which is datadriven. Precision technologies can bring about increased efficiency and decision making in dairy management. Total farmers that have already adopted the technology is still relatively low, although data shows a growth in the adoption rate.

Agriculture plays a predominant role in Indian economy and contributes 18 per cent to India’s gross domestic product. Farmers have to take series of decisions to make farming a viable enterprise. A study was planned to know the decision making behaviour and its influence on the socio economic performance of farm households. The respondents were chosen from three districts viz. Raichur, Gulbarga and Koppal. Thirty farmers from rainfed situation and thirty farmers from irrigated situation were chosen from each district making a total sample size of 180.
