The swine farming has a significant potential for biogas emissions and is a substantial contributor to greenhouse gas emissions within Vietnam's agricultural sector. This study was conducted to determine the total amount of CH4, and CO2 (eq) released from mature management activities and emission coefficients of CH4 and CO2 (eq) at different swine farms in Northern, Central and Southern regions, using tier 1 and tier 2 according to IPCC method.

This research will determine the actuarially fair premium rate, both theoretically and using the data of rice harvest yield in Central Java Province from 1990-2017. The calculation, employing the rice harvest yield data, results in the premium rate. The farmers must pay for each hectare from IDR 56,000 (minimum) to IDR 161,600 (maximum) with an average value of IDR 110,750.Meanwhile,the standard deviation principle used, the premium results between IDR 78,151 and IDR 143,349.

By using a qualitative approach, data was collected from in-depth interviews of a case study. The case study of poultry supply chain is focused on the initial stage of supply chain i.e. farm. Therefore, this study found six Islamic values which exist in the halal supply chain.

The present paper provides a case study of rice farmers in the Muda granary area, which covers the states of Kedah and Perlis, using primary data to identify the factors on the adoption of PEP among farmers. The research findings indicate that the key factors determining the farmers’ adoption of the PEP are age, secondary jobs, effective communication with the extension agency, increased rice yield, lower operating cost, lower working time in the fields, and support services, such as assistance, incentives, and facilities from the government.

In this paper, the authors considered theoretical approaches to family farming as a special form of social-and-economic organization, which is the most reliable mechanism for mass recruitment of rural population into the economy and optimization of material and information flows, cooperative ties of value creating participants in order to satisfy consumers in comparison with large agricultural holdings. The US experience indicates the possibility of harmonious combination of developed industry and commodity family farms in economic complexes.

The study assessed SLM programs and institutions, examined institutional obstacles to SLM implementation in the selected study sites, and recommended policies and measures that aims to improve the implementation of SLM initiatives. This study explores the driving factors for farmers in sustainable paddy farming in Malaysia. The research is exploratory in nature, using interview and observation approaches. Three sustainability factors are focused in this study; namely the economic, social, and environmental dimensions. The results indicate that early exposure and knowledge, education and experience in sustainable agriculture are the driving force behind shifting attitudes towards sustainable agriculture and sustaining practices.

A policy of high rice prices can increase paddy farm incomes but also cause a rise in rice expenditures for farm households. Such a policy is needed to stimulate production but can harm rice consumers, especially poor families. We surveyed 284 paddy farmers in Gantar Sub-District, Indramayu Regency, Indonesia to analyze the impact of increasing rice prices on farmers’ net incomes, including poor paddy farmers. We found that a price increase benefits farmer if the price transmission elasticity is more than 0.2 for non-poor paddy farmers or 0.6 for poor paddy farmers.
