In this paper, the authors considered theoretical approaches to family farming as a special form of social-and-economic organization, which is the most reliable mechanism for mass recruitment of rural population into the economy and optimization of material and information flows, cooperative ties of value creating participants in order to satisfy consumers in comparison with large agricultural holdings. The US experience indicates the possibility of harmonious combination of developed industry and commodity family farms in economic complexes.

This study explores the driving factors for farmers in sustainable paddy farming in Malaysia. The research is exploratory in nature, using interview and observation approaches. Three sustainability factors are focused in this study; namely the economic, social, and environmental dimensions. The results indicate that early exposure and knowledge, education and experience in sustainable agriculture are the driving force behind shifting attitudes towards sustainable agriculture and sustaining practices.

Tea farming households in Lung Vai commune, Muong Khuong district have been facing different types of risks. This experiment was carried out to survey the antibody levels against Newcastle disease virus (NDV) and the morphology of ileal villi of broilers in commercial farms. An experiment was conducted during Kharif season of 2017-2018 at the Central Research Farm of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, to evaluate the efficacy of bio-agents and botanical extracts against anthracnose (Colletotrichum lindemuthianum) of black gram (Vigna mungo L.) both in vitro and in vivo. In vitro studies showed significant difference in the inhibition per cent of mycelial growth of the pathogen among all the treatments.
