The sediment quality assessment showed that trace element concentrations were lower than the limited values in the sediment quality guideline (QCVN 43:2017/BTNMT). According to the Igeo index, the sediments were not polluted by Cu, Pb, Zn, Cr, Fe, and As but were likely polluted by Hg and Mn in some sampling sites. Therefore, it is necessary to invest the future studies to assess the Hg and Mn concentration levels in these sites to protect the marine environment.

The induced magnetic properties and the interaction between the electrons in the valence and the conduction bands affect the positions of the energy band and the band-gap in DMS. The growth technology of DMS is quite sophisticated and the magnetic properties mainly depend on the impurity concentrations of the properly grown multicomponent compounds.

This paper aimed to determine the grey water footprint (GWF) of geothermal water resources and to investigate the effect of biochar adsorption on grey water footprint in Southeastern Turkey. In this paper, GWF has been calculated in terms of iron (Fe), arsenic (As), manganese (Mn), boron (B), and chrome (Cr) concentrations for fifteen observation geothermal resources located in Southeastern Anatolia Region. In this study, a new approach based on the GWF was developed in order to determine the geothermal water pollution.

The results showed that SOM content was higher in horizon A, whereas mineral matrix elements Al, Fe, and Mg contents were higher in horizon B. Ca and P contents gradually decreased with soil depth due to the influence of fertilizer. Three types of trace element concentration profiles were identified: (1) decrease with depth for Cd and Hg

The peak for UA appeared at about –0.15 V in this medium, which responded well to standard additions and high reproducibility was obtained. The validity of the proposed method was tested in serum samples by spiking known concentrations of UA to serum samples and high recovery was obtained. The interference effect of dopamine (DA) and ascorbic acid (AA) was eliminated simply by the addition of Fe(III), in a very fast and quantitative reaction.

Electrochemical properties of disulfiram, representative of highly significant bioactive compounds, were studied with a cyclic renewable silver amalgam film electrode (Hg(Ag)FE) using square wave cathodic stripping voltammetry (SWCSV). The influence of various factors such as pH, buffer concentration, buffer composition, and SWCSV parameters on current response was investigated. The applicability of the developed method was tested in the determination of disulfiram in the commercial formulation Anticol.

In the current research, the sulfonated metal–organic framework loaded on iron oxide nanoparticles, Fe3O4@MIL100(Fe)-OSO3H, has been synthesized and utilized as a Fenton-like catalyst for the decolorization of aqueous solutions containing methyl orange (MO) dye as a model organic pollutant. The morphology and structure of the catalyst were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy.

Potassium ferricyanide, potassium ferrocyanide, and their combination system are widely used redox probes for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) characterization. In this work, electrochemical behavior of K3 Fe(CN)6 , K4 Fe(CN)6 , and K3 Fe(CN)6 / K4 Fe(CN)6 redox probes at five different concentrations using a screen printed carbon electrode (SPCE) by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and EIS methods was analyzed. Redox potentials were observed as a result of anodic and cathodic peak with CV analysis with determination 10 mM appropriate concentration through 0.01 mM, 0.

The composite adsorbent exhibited an excellent adsorption capacity towards three types of ions and heavy metals that are found in acid sulfate water. After treating with agarose/MgO, the concentrations of Fe and Al decreased from 60.28 and 604.84 µg/l, respectively, to under 3.42 and 1.78 µg/l, respectively. These exceptional results reveal the potential uses of agarose/MgO composites as adsorbents in the treatment of acid sulfate water.

The objective of the current effort was to determine the efficacy of Fe(II)-montmorillonite (Fe(II)-MMT) as an adjuvant for specific targeted adsorption of phosphate. Specifically, Fe(II)-MMT was studied to combat hyperphosphatemia and anemia arising from chronic renal failure. The adsorption of phosphate over time, pH, and initial concentration was studied. The systems were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman, and zeta potential. The experimental results demonstrated the adsorption time was set to 140 min to achieve maximum adsorption efficiency.

In this research, a series of La0.7Sr0.3Co1−yFeyO3−δ (y = 0.0–0.4) was successfully synthesized by a solidstate reaction method and syngas production studies were performed using gas chromatography. Thermogravimetric analysis characterized the concentration of Fe3+, which gave a low H2/CO ratio over La0.7Sr0.3Co1−yFeyO3−δ without the presence of molecular oxygen. All samples possessed a purely rhombohedral structure. The incorporation of more Fe increased the lattice parameter and changed XRD peaks of the La1−xSrxCo0.8Fe0.2O3 from sharp and single to double.

In this paper, a fast, cheap, simple, sensitive and selective spectrophotometric method based on high spin peroxo-Fe(III)-EDTA complex in the alkaline medium was developed for the determination of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in real water samples. The purple-coloured complex with a maximum absorbance at a wavelength of 525 nm was formed. Various parameters such as type of stabilizer reagent and its concentration, reaction time, Fe(III), EDTA and NH3 concentration were optimized. The method was confirmed with the Beer’s law with a molar absorption coefficient of 267.36 L mol−1cm −1 in the 8.

Ferrous iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn) at high concentration in the soil cause heavy metal toxicity and greatly affect rice yield and quality. To improve rice production, understanding the genetic and molecular resistance mechanisms to excess Fe and Zn in rice is essential. Genome-wide association study (GWAS) is an effective way to identify loci and favorable alleles governing Fe and Zn toxicty as well as dissect the genetic relationship between them in a genetically diverse population.
