Female labour force participation

Previous studies investigated the reason why female labour force participation rate in eastern Germany after the Unification remain much higher than that in western Germany without the supportive institutions in GDR(). Indeed, vanishment of these institutions and the introduction of the institutions of FRG had large impact on female labour force participation.

Through International Labour Organization’s indicators of forced labour, author identifies some forms of violence towards female domestic workers in Ho Chi Minh City nowadays. There are different types of domestic work, but within the scope of research paper, the author will focus on two main groups of female domestic workers, i.e. domestic workers in private households and patient caretakers. They represent two different working environments, but have one thing in common, which is the higher frequency of contact with their employers compared to the other groups.
