Collagenous fibroma or desmoplastic fibroblastoma is a rare benign fibrous tissue tumor. It usually presents as a painless, slowly growing mass. Collagenous fibroma arises ordinarily inside the subcutaneous tissues or skeletal muscles. Histopathologically, the tumor consists of scattered stellate and spindle cells in a hypovascular col‑ lagenous stroma without atypia or infiltration.

It is crucial to avoid the misdiagnose of lipoma arborescens, which is associated with degenerative joint disease. Lipoma is a homogeneous, ovoid, adipose tissue tumor that is contained within a fibrous capsule and not associated with previous disease.

Fibrous dysplasia (FD), osteosarcoma (OS), and giant cell tumor of bone (GCTB) are three bone tumors with low incidence while primary pulmonary meningioma is a rare disease. To explore the activity of pazopanib (P) + sirolimus (S) in patients who progressed after previous clinical benefit on pazopanib. Our series showed that the combination of P + S has activity in STS patients selected by previous response to P and in a patient with chondrosarcoma, suggesting this can serve as a mechanism to reverse resistance to P and extend the chemotherapy-free window.

A 55-year-old woman presented with a 3-year history of gradually progressive postprandial epigastric fullness. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed a large, broad-based mass in the medial wall of the duodenal bulb (Figure 1). Endoscopic ultrasound showed a large, hyperechoic lesion originating from the submucosal layer of the duodenal wall consistent with a lipoma, and computed tomography of the abdomen with contrast suggested the presence of a homogeneous mass with uniform fat density in the duodenal bulb (Figure 2).

Of the four heart valves, the mitral valve is the only valve that has a distinguishable annulus. However, the presence of a fibrous annular structure is variable and discontinuous. The firmest site of support for the mitral valve is the region of fibrous continuity between the aortic and mitral valves, the extent of which is delineated by the right and left fibrous trigones (Fig. 2). Nevertheless, for surgical purposes, the annulus is considered the area of attachment of the valve leaflets to the atrial muscle. The annulus is a functional component of the mitral valve.

Leiomyomas are discrete, rounded, firm, white to pale pink, benign myometrial tumors composed mostly of smooth muscle with varying amounts of fibrous connective tissue. Approximately 95% arise from the uterine corpus and 5% from the cervix. Only occasionally do they arise from a fallopian tube or round ligament. Leiomyomas are the most frequent pelvic tumors, occurring in 25% of white and 50% of black women by age 50 years. Leiomyomas account for 10% of gynecologic problems and have their peak incidence in the fifth decade.

Bone Sarcomas Incidence and Epidemiology Bone sarcomas are rarer than soft tissue sarcomas; they accounted for only 0.2% of all new malignancies and 2370 new cases in the United States in 2007. Several benign bone lesions have the potential for malignant transformation. Enchondromas and osteochondromas can transform into chondrosarcoma; fibrous dysplasia, bone infarcts, and Paget's disease of bone can transform into either malignant fibrous histiocytoma or osteosarcoma.
