"Numerical modeling of creep concrete beam and slab with boltzmann superposition principle" using this integral method, the creep model for Timoshenko beam and Mindlin plate will be evaluated by the Finite Element Method (FEM) combined Prony's series interpolation through MATLAB program. The creep datas used for Prony's series interpolation are based on international standards. These results obtained by FEM will be compared with available referred results and the results of the analytical method.

This paper presents a new design of Ge20Sb5Se75 large-solid-core- square lattice photonic crystal fiber (PCF) with the first ring of air hole near the core removed. Using the full vector finite element method for anisotropic perfectly matched layers, we numerically examine the dispersion characteristics of the PCF as a function of the wavelength in the mid-infrared range.

This enables the use of straightforward methods for isogeometric analysis in conventional finite element systems. A SOCP problem is created from the limit analysis problem, which may then be solved using Mosek optimization software. The numerical results indicate the correctness and effectiveness of the current technique by contrasting it with other approaches mentioned in the literature.

In this study, a semi-analytical solution of the Reynolds equation based on the Scaled Boundary Finite Element Method (SBFEM) is developed to reduce the numerical effort of the overall simulation. In contrast to a purely numerical solution, the two-dimensional pressure field is discretized in only one coordinate direction, whereas in the other direction, an analytical formulation is used.

In this article, a simplified variant for the TFEM is proposed where the shape functions similar to the ones for a (spatial) axial bar are used. The accuracy in the obtained results of some numerical examples is found to be comparable with the accuracy in the previous results.

This paper extends a numerical procedure for limit ananlysis of 3-D structures using node-based smoothed finite element method (NS-FEM) in combination with second-order cone programming (SOCP). The obtained discretization formulation is then cast in a form which involves second-order cone constraints, ensuring that the underlying optimization problem can be solved by highly efficient primaldual interior point algorithm. Furthermore, in the NS-FEM, the system stiffness matrix is computed using the smoothed strains over the smoothing domains associated with nodes.

Determination of bending failure load of hat-type folded composite plate using finite element method
This paper analyzed the failure of the hat-type laminated composite plate under a bending load. Based on the Reissner-Mindlin plate theory and isoparametric rectangular plate elements with five degrees of freedom per node, an algorithm and Matlab code were established to compute the stresses and bending failure load of the folded composite plate according to Tsai-Wu and Maximum stresses criteria. The numerical results are reliable when compared with the published results in the literature for some specific cases.

. In the pile-soil model, the lateral load is located at the pile head including both lateral force and bending moment. The single pile is considered as a beam on elastic foundation while shear beams model the soil column below the pile toe. The differential equations governing pile deflections are derived based on the energy principles and variational approaches.

This paper presents the new numerical results of vibration response analysis of cracked FGM plate based on phase-field theory and finite element method. The stiffener is added into one surface of the structure, and it is parallel to the edges of the plate. The displacement compatibility between the stiffener and the plate is clearly indicated, so the working process of the structure is described obviously. The proposed theory and program are verified by comparing with other published papers.

This paper presents an efficient and accurate numerical technique based upon the scaled boundary finite element method for the analysis of two-dimensional, linear, second-order, boundary value problems with the domain completely described by a circular defining curve. The scaled boundary finite element formulation is established in a general framework allowing single-field and multi-field problems, bounded and unbounded bodies, distributed body source, and general boundary conditions to be treated in a unified fashion.
