  • "Numerical modeling of creep concrete beam and slab with boltzmann superposition principle" using this integral method, the creep model for Timoshenko beam and Mindlin plate will be evaluated by the Finite Element Method (FEM) combined Prony's series interpolation through MATLAB program. The creep datas used for Prony's series interpolation are based on international standards. These results obtained by FEM will be compared with available referred results and the results of the analytical method.

  • The dynamic analysis is a necessity in the design, manufacturing and maintenance of structures. The analytic solutions are not available for most practical cases and the Finite Element Method (FEM) is not reliable due to the joint problem, unclear loading, material properties and numerical error. In this paper, we present a way to find modes shape of 3D Frame by FEM program using Matlab.

  • This paper presents study and comparison of numerical methods which are used for evaluation of dynamic response. A Single Degree of Freedom (SDF)-linear problem is solved by means of Newmark’s Average acceleration method [2], Linear acceleration method [2], Central Difference method [6,7] with the help of MATLAB. The advantages, disadvantages, relative precision and applicability of these numerical methods are discussed throughout the analysis.

  • This paper presents the numerical result for the static bending analysis of functionally graded material (FGM) box by using the finite element method (FEM). The authors code the calculation program in MATLAB software and checked the established program by comparing it with other published works. In addition, the effects of some geometrical and material parameters on the static bending analysis of FGM boxes are investigated in detail.

  • This paper analyzed the failure of the hat-type laminated composite plate under a bending load. Based on the Reissner-Mindlin plate theory and isoparametric rectangular plate elements with five degrees of freedom per node, an algorithm and Matlab code were established to compute the stresses and bending failure load of the folded composite plate according to Tsai-Wu and Maximum stresses criteria. The numerical results are reliable when compared with the published results in the literature for some specific cases.

  • Using the finite element method (FEM) and construction calculation program in Matlab, the authors analyzed the elastic stability of piezoelectric composite plates under dynamic in-plane loads, taking into account damping properties of the structure. Critical loads and other factors affecting the stability of the plate are investigated.

  • In this paper, a new method to design cam mechanisms with translating roller follower using Matlab and Inventor software is presented. The minimization of the cam size and the contact stress can be determined by controlling design parameters, such as the cam base circle radius, the follower face width and the follower offset. During the design procedure, a number of constraints regarding the pressure angle and the contact stress are taken into account. The finite element aproach is used to perform the analysis.
