The article examines the impact of capital structure (CS) on financial performance (FP) of hotel firms. A sample size of 72 of 3 - 5 star hotel firms in Hanoi city, Vietnam in a period of 3 years from 2016 to 2019 has been taken to analyze. Firm FP is measured by ROA, ROE, ROS.

The paper aims to estimate the effect of financial statement reliability on listed firms’ performance in Vietnam, particularly on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, from 2015 to 2022. Reliability is a crthe listedattribute of information quality in financial statements, and by using the quantitative method (feasible generalized least squares – FGLS), the findings show that reliability positively affects listed firms’ performance with a confidence interval of 95%.

In this paper, we examine the relation between foreign directors and firm performance measured by return on assets in Vietnam. Using a sample of 175 firms with 955 observations from 2013 to 2019, we find that having foreign directors on board who have better expertise, experience, and networks is positively related to firm performance.

This article analyzes the impact of CEO’s education on firm financial performance by using data of 462 firms listed on both Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi Stock Exchange from 2011-2017. In general, a CEO with Master’s Degree has a positive impact of on firm financial performance, thus suggesting that educational level of CEO’s has impact on the firm’s success. Surprisingly, the Doctor's Degree of CEO negatively influences the firm performance measured by the market value (Tobin’s Q) and firm’s profitability (ROA) is positively affected if CEO has a Engineering Degree.

The growth of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods - FMCG requires businesses to be more attentive and concerned about the role of the non-financial information disclosure to meet a competitive advantage and enhance long-term development. This research identifies factors that can affect the non-financial information level of the FMCG companies listed in Vietnam Stock Market. The results show that profitability ratio, business size, independent auditing firms and the number of members of board of directors have a positive impact on the company's nonfinancial information disclosure level.

The study "Comparison of the performance of state-controlled and private-controlled enterprises - evidence from the electricity industryin Vietnam" aims toexamine the impact of ownership structure on business performance. The study uses a sample of 51 companies in electricityindustry listed on Vietnam’s stock market in 2017.
