  • This paper attempts to find empirical evidences of the factors affecting capital expenditure of non-financial listed companies on the Hanoi Stock Exchange. The paper uses data from 190 non-financial listed companies on the Hanoi Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2017. By using General Method of Moments (GMM), the results of the study showed that the free cash flow and company size have positively effect on capital expenditure while interest expense and depreciation expense have negatively effect on capital expenditure of non-financial companies listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange.

  • This paper investigates the determinants of UK corporate cash holdings during the period 1980-2012. The global and long term phenomenon of corporate cash pilling has drawn significant attention from researchers. Similarly, this study aims at shedding light on the empirical relationship between cash holding and specific firm characteristics. The empirical findings suggest that cash holdings are positively related to investment opportunity, as R&D and market to book ratio.

  • This paper examines factors influencing the survival probability of firms in the industry in Vietnam. The obtained results reveal that among others, capital stock and expenditure on inputs such as materials and services were the significant determinants of firms’ surviving likelihood in the market. This likelihood was also positively correlated with the age of firms, however, in an inverse fashion when the firms reached a certain age.
