In recent years, the world economy in general and Vietnam in particular, have been heavily affected. In Vietnam, the proportion of enterprises suspending business increased significantly in 2020, which is 81.8% compared to 2019 (Nguyen, 2020). This study aims to assess the impact of CEO characteristics on the financial distress risk of Vietnamese publicly traded companies.

The study result shows that the relationship between technological capability and manufacturing performance is significant and positive. This study proved there is a connection between the variables. Further investigation is required to understand the impact of technological capability on manufacturing performance and to understand deeper the influences of differences by size of firms and industry characteristics.

The purpose of this paper is to study the characteristics of competitiveness in firms’ sectors of the Greek manufacturing industry, based on firm level accounting and qualitative data attempting to identify key issues regarding Greek SMEs. An unbalanced data set of 407 Greek manufacturing SMEs is implemented, covering the period of 2003-2011 with the use of a multivariate regression model (EGLS) with explanatory variables characterizing firms’ operational activity.

The paper investigated the effect of reinsurance on the profitability of non-life insurance firms operating in Vietnam by using a balanced panel data during 7-year period from 2016 to 2022. The authors adopt 2SLS regression model together with using firms’ characteristic factors and macro-economic factors as control variables to explore reinsurance-financial performance relation.

The article examines the capital source composition of firms providing logistics services listed on the Vietnamese stock market. From there, we are able to recognize how much an organization depends on external funds as well as how much initiative it takes from internal capital sources.

This article analyzes the impact of CEO’s education on firm financial performance by using data of 462 firms listed on both Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi Stock Exchange from 2011-2017. In general, a CEO with Master’s Degree has a positive impact of on firm financial performance, thus suggesting that educational level of CEO’s has impact on the firm’s success. Surprisingly, the Doctor's Degree of CEO negatively influences the firm performance measured by the market value (Tobin’s Q) and firm’s profitability (ROA) is positively affected if CEO has a Engineering Degree.
