  • This research is to design the Indonesian LPG distribution system through Location-allocation modelling taking into account the existing facilities. Location-allocation model is developed in fixed charge capacitated location-allocation problem considering transportation and inventory decisions. Multi echelon LPG distribution system is considered to be modelled from regional warehouse to agents.

  • We consider a network localization problem in which a network of multiple nodes needs to estimate their positions based on measured bearing vectors and exchanging several variables. We propose a fixed-time bearing-based estimation law, which guarantees convergence of position estimates in a finite-time independently on the initial estimations. Simulation results are also provided to support the theoretical results.

  • Soil potassium supplementation relies heavily on the use of chemical fertilizer, which has a considerable negative impact on the environment. There is a growing need to turn back to nature or sustainable agents that promote evergreen agriculture. Among such natural bio-agents, the potassium solubilizing bacteria (KSB), which solubilize fixed forms of potassium (K) and increase growth, yield and nutrient uptake of wheat plant and hence Soil fertility can be restored effectively through adopting concept of integrated soil fertility management (ISFM).

  • The present study was conducted in the laboratory and green house to explore the relation between Pseudomonas fluorescens as biocontrol agent and free N-fixers Azotobacter chroococcum and Azospirillum lipoferium bacteria and their effect on their population in rhizosphere, growth, N% in shoot and N content of wheat plants grown in sterilized and unsterilized sandy soil. Results revealed that P. fluorescens interacted negatively with the population of both nitrogen fixing bacteria in wheat rhizosphere and studied plant parameters.

  • Extraction of natural dyes for the coloration of textile substrate is one the most important research area to the researchers. These dyes are considered to be very good for their colour experimentation quality, excellent for their endurance and soft lustrous colouring. They do not create any pollution problems as they are applied with simple chemical reactions. The wide verities of exotic shades produced by natural dyes are parallel with the synthetic range and hence can replace them with ease.

  • This paper presents the effect of carrageenan (CG) on some characteristics and drug release of allopurinol in the presence of polyethylene oxide (PEO) as a dispersion aid agent. The samples were prepared in film shape by solution method, in which, the content of PEO was changed from 1 wt.% to 5 wt.% and the content of allopurinol was fixed at 10 wt.% in comparison with carrageenan weight. Fourier transforms infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) methods were used to evaluate interactions and morphology of CG/PEO/allopurinol films.

  • Species mixtures are often recommended over single- species cover crops or sod crops because the mixtures tend to use resources more fully and provide a more diverse habitat. Except in situations where a legume would not establish well, or where the nitrogen-fixing power of legumes is not desired, at least one legume and one non-legume are recom- mended. Some growers establish a sod-forming crop between rows of a cash crop, forming a living mulch which provides soil-improving benefits without taking land totally out of vegetable production.

  • Mutual funds charge two kinds of fees: expenses and loads. Expenses comprise the management fee (typically a fixed percentage of assets under management) and other recurring operating costs—such as custodian, administration, accounting, registration, and transfer agent fees. Rather than charging explicit fees for these expenses, funds deduct them on a daily basis from the fund's net assets. Expenses are expressed as a percentage of assets under management (the expense ratio). Loads are one-time fees used to compensate distributors.

  • An Empirical Investigation of International Consumer Market Segmentation Decisions They may also be more effective at exerting “voice” to manage agent behavior, even without the exit option that school choice policies provide (Hirschman, 1970). Finally, student composition may operate as an employment amenity for teachers and administrators, reducing the salaries that the school must pay and increasing the quality of teachers that can be hired for any fixed salary (Antos and Rosen, 1975).

  • Greenhouse gases such as CO2 and methane are believed to contribute to global warming. Dust is a common problem throughout all mining activities. Dust generated by vehicle traffic can be reduced through a variety of means. Where water resources are not limited, regular watering with mobile water trucks or fixed sprinkler systems is effec- tive. Otherwise the application of surface binding agents, the selection of suitable construction materials and the sealing of heavily used access ways may be more suitable.

  • Encounters with Phagocytes Phagocytosis and Inflammation Phagocytosis of microbes is a major innate host defense that limits the growth and spread of pathogens. Phagocytes appear rapidly at sites of infection in conjunction with the initiation of inflammation. Ingestion of microbes by both tissue-fixed macrophages and migrating phagocytes probably accounts for the limited ability of most microbial agents to cause disease.
