The present investigation was conducted during 2011-12 at Fruit research station, Sangareddy to study the influence of flower enhancing plant growth regulators and fruit set improving chemicals on mango cv. Banganpalli.

In this review we have discussed a few important hi – tech practices in the fruit crop mango. The novel techniques that cab be adopted to improve the mango productivity are High Density Planting, fertigation technology under UHDP, mulching, canopy management, using of growth regulators, floral manipulation by application of exogenous plant hormones, induction of off – season flowering, ethylene spray, paclobutrazol and top working of old and senile orchards for rejuvenation. When all these techniques are integrated and practiced, there will be remarkable increase in productivity of mango.

In this review we have discussed an important hi – tech practices in guava for the enhancement of productivity. The novel techniques in guava practices viz., mulching, meadow orcharding, high density planting, pruning, flower induction, fruiting, fertilization, fertigation, crop regulation, foliar nutrition and crop regulation practices and using salinity tolerant rootstock improves the production, productivity and quality.

Pigeon pea is majorly grown in north-eastern dry zone of Karnataka and it carries a unique position in every cropping system of this zone. Crop Productivity of pigeonpea is being low in the north-eastern dry zone of Karnataka and this is due to several reasons. One of the main important reason is flower drop and poor seed setting. To overcome and reduce this problem and to enhance productivity of pigeonpea, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kalburgi, has introduced a product known as Pulse Magic (consists of nutrients and Plant growth regulators) as foliar spray.

Cashew (Anacardium occidentale L.) is an important tropical nut crop of social and economic importance worldwide. World‟s total area under cashew cultivation is around 35100 km2 . Despite the economic importance of cashew with increasing cultivation globally, the crop is threatened with the problems of low yield with world‟s average raw cashew nut yield is as low as 780 kg ha-1 .

A field study was conducted during 2015 to investigate the effect of nitrogen and GA3 on suppression of flowering for enhancement of vegetative phase in stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni.). The result revealed that maximum plant height, number of branches per plant and fresh leaf yield per hectare was recorded with the application of nitrogen at 120 Kg per hectare at 90 DAT. At 90 DAT application of GA3 500 ppm recorded significantly higher plant height and number of branches per plant.

Gladiolus (family Iridaceae) is one of the most important bulbous flower crops due to its long attractive spike with variety of colours, prolonged vase life and its ability to withstand long distance transportation. The role of growth regulators in growth & flowering of gladiolus has received considerable attention recently though very little work has been done on this aspect, hence the present study was under taken. The experiment was conducted in the experimental area of the Department of Horticulture consisting of four concentrations of GA3 (25, 50, 75, & 100 ppm).
