Excessive salt consumption has been found to cause many negative effects on human health. To date, many researches have been conducted to reduce the sodium content of the diet. This study focused on the comparison of saltiness intensity and other parameters in timeintensity curves of four commercial grain salts in four regions of Viet Nam (Bac Lieu, Thanh Hoa, Sa Huynh, Vung Tau), one flower salt in Sa Huynh and a control sample with two particle sizes of 1-2 mm and 2-3 mm to find out their taste perception characteristics.

The present investigation was aimed at determining the effects of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza (VAM) on vegetative growth of chrysanthemum var. Marigold plants grown under salinity condition. Entrophospora sp. (VAM) inoculated plants of forty-five days old seedlings (DAS) were transplanted into pots (one seedling per pot) until the flowering. After (75 days) transplanting, seedlings of chrysanthemum var

The present study was aimed at evaluating chloride and sulphate dominated salinity stress tolerance status of the Senna (Cassia angustifolia Vahl.) at vegetative, flowering and pod maturity stage, a pot factorial experiment based on randomized complete design with three replicates was conducted in screen house. Four varying EC levels viz. control (without salt), 4, 8 and 12 dSm-1 of each salinity types along with nutrients supplemented in sand filled polythene bags.

A pot experiment was conducted under natural conditions of screen house to evaluate the effect of saline irrigation given at flowering stage on plant water status functioning and their tolerance in two chickpea (Cicer arietinum) genotypes viz. HC-3 and CSG-8962. The pots containing dune sand were saturated with Cldominated saline irrigation at (40-45 DAS) to maintain ECiw of 2.0, 4.0 and 6.0dS m-1 as compared to control. The control plants were irrigated with distilled water.

Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is an oil seed crop, grown all over the world while the yield potential is strongly affected by salinity stress. The study aims at the response of two cultivars NSSH-1084 and SWATI to salt stress. The extent of influence of NaCl on various biochemical parameters and anti-oxidative enzymes, catalase (CAT), Guaiacol peroxidase (GPX) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were investigated at vegetative, flowering and post flowering stages. The chlorophyll, protein and soluble sugar contents were enhanced upto 100mM and 50mM in NSSH-1084 and SWATI var. respectively.

Rhizobacterial strains having plant growth promoting hormone can helps in promoting plant growth and mitigates adverse conditions. Keeping in view of their positive impact, present study was undertaken to identify the Salt Tolerant Rhizobacteria (STR) having IAA production activity. Out of 300 bacteria from the mustard rhizospheric soil 25 could able to grow at 10% NaCl medium termed as STR were assessed for their plant growth promoting hormones. Bacterial strains (STR PGP) B1, B14, B17 and B25 identified as genus Enterobacter showing IAA production ranges from 1 - 3 µg/ml.

Salt induced modulation on physio-biochemical attributes in okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench
A field investigation was carried out in the shade net house at the Agricultural Experimental Farm of Calcutta University at Baruipur, 24-Parganas (South) during MarchJune 2017 and germination tests as well as enzymatic assay were carried out in the Department of Horticulture, Institute of Agriculture Science, University of Calcutta. Out of the 19 accessions of okra under study, five genotypes were selected after screening which could sustain the salinity levels at 50 mM, 100mM and 150mM viz. Arka Anamika, Deepika, Shivani hybrid, Panchvati and Japani Jhar.
