Flower yield in chrysanthemum

Xem 1-11 trên 11 kết quả Flower yield in chrysanthemum
  • The study has revealed that significantly highest number of flowers per plant (28.00), highest flower diameter (7.83 cm) and highest flower yield per hectare (25.25 q) were observed by application of nitrogen at the rate of 200 kg ha-1 in combination with potassium at the rate of 150 kg ha-1 . Non-significant changes were observed in the available organic carbon content in the soil at the end of the experiment when compared with the application of nutrients before the experimentation.

  • The chemical fertilisers when applied to soil more than the recommended, it not only affects the yield of flowers but also affects on deterioration of soil health. As an alternative to this, the low cost bio-fertilisers are one of the solutions which will help the farmers to reduce the cost of cultivation. This need to experimented. In view of this, the study was conducted to find out the influence of Vermicompost in combination with Microbial Consortium on reproductive parameters of Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora L.) cv. Marigold.

  • The performance and water use efficiency (WUE) of Chrysanthemum var. Marigold was evaluated under two moisture regimes, i.e., 100 % FC and 70 % FC imposed and maintained using gravimetric method. At 100 % FC, the plant height (30.33 cm), average plant spread (38.21 cm), number of primary branches/plant (5.67) and secondary branches/plant (4.67), number of leaves/plant (71.67), number of flowers/plant (136.75), average weight of individual flowers (7.21g), RWC (94.29%), root: shoot ratio (0.42), total fresh bio mass (153.09 g), flower yield (881.67 g / plant) and shelf life of 7.

  • An experiment was carried out at Horticulture Section, College of Agriculture, Nagpur during rabi season of the year 2017-18 to study the effect of nitrogen and potassium on growth and flowering of annual chrysanthemum. The treatment comprised of four levels of nitrogen (0, 100, 150 and 200 kg N ha-1 ) and four levels of potassium (0, 50, 75 and 100 kg ha-1 ) in all sixteen treatments combinations planted in factorial randomized block design with three replications.

  • Ten genotypes of chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora Tzvelve) were assessed for 12 quantitative and qualitative traits to study the path analysis of different parameters with yield components and their direct and indirect effects on flower yield. Genotypic path coefficient analysis revealed that flower yield per plant was directly and positively influenced by number of flowers per plant, individual flower weight, days to flower bud initiation and shelf life of flowers.

  • Ten genotypes of chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora Tzvelve) were assessed for 12 different growth, flowering, flower yield and quality traits to study the association of different parameters with flower yield per plant (g). In the present study, days to flower bud initiation and number of flowers showed highly significant and positive association with flower yield per plant (g) at both genotypic and phenotypic levels.

  • Correlation and path analysis were carried out in 16 genotypes of chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora Tzvelev) for different yield attributing traits. Among twelve different parameters to differentiate the contribution made by each parameter in the final flower yield. The results revealed that the genotypic correlations were higher than the phenotypic correlations for the characters studied, indicating the high heritable nature of the characters. The genotypic correlation of flower yield per plant was showed highly significant and positive correlation with leaf area (0.
