The present experiment was performed throughout two successive seasons of 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 at a Private Farm in Fayoum Governorate - Egypt. It intended to find out the individual and the combined effects of phosphorus fertilizer at four levels (20 “is considered as control”, 40, 60 and 80 –unit/fed.) and gibberellic acid at four concentrations (control, 75, 150 and 300 ppm) on growth, flower quality, corms production, chemical composition and concrete oil percentage of tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa, L.) cv. Double.

A field experiment was carried out in Horticulture Research Farm, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Mohanpur, to study the effect of paclobutrazol as foliar spray at different dates, on growth, flowering and bulb yield of tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.) var. Prajwal. The experiment was carried out during the year 2016-2018 (March - March) to find out the suitable dose of paclobutrazol and amicable time of its spraying, to get maximum flower production.

The experiment was conducted at Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Kittur Rani Channamma College of Horticulture, Arabhavi during the year 2015-16. Eight genotypes namely Shringar, Prajwal, Suvasini, Pearl Double, Calcutta Single, Mexican Single, Vaibhav and Arka Nirantara were used for the evaluation study. All the genotypes registered significant effect on yield and quality parameters.

An experiment was carried out to study the effect of foliar application of zinc and iron on flowering and quality of tuberose during the year 2016-2017 at Horticulture Section, College of Agriculture, Nagpur. The experiment was laid out with sixteen treatment combinations with spraying of ZnSO4 (0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6%) and FeSO4 (0, 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6%) at 30 and 45 days after planting.

In order to study the effect of different packaging materials [Polypropylene bags and LDPE bags at different grades of thickness (100 and 200 guage)] and storage conditions (ambient conditions, 40C and 60C) on keeping quality of loose flowers of tuberose, fully developed unopened buds of tuberose loose flowers cv. Bidhan Rajini - 1 were harvested from the experimental plot early in the morning.

An experimental study was carried out during kharif season of the year 2008-2009 at the farm of Horticulture Section, College of Agriculture, Nagpur. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications and ten treatments viz. GA3 at 100, 150 and 200 ppm, NAA at 50, 100 and 150 ppm, CCC at 1000, 1500 and 2000 ppm and control (Water spray). The higher concentration of GA3 at 200 ppm attributed superior results regarding earliness in initiation of flower stalk, length of spike and length of rachis.

Tuberose is one of the important commercially cultivated loose flower crops known for its fragrant white flowers. The area under the cultivation of tuberose is being increasing among the farmers. But, the availability of quality planting materials and high cost for the healthy bulbs remains a great hindrance for tuberose cultivation.
